XIV International Forum “Security Technologies”.
From February 3 to 6, 2009, the XIV International Forum “Security Technologies” will be held at the Crocus Expo IEC — an event that annually opens a new business season in the Russian security market.
The Security Technologies Forum is a global exhibition project in the field of security, within which the following thematic expositions will be presented: technical means and security systems, engineering and technical means of physical protection, banking security, anti-terrorism, radio electronics, security components and systems, transport, terminal , security, fire safety and rescue equipment, technogenic safety, equipment, personal protective equipment, services of non-state security structures.
The Security Technologies Forum will be held with the support of the State Duma Committee on Security, the Federation Council Committee on Defense and Security, the Security Council of the Russian Federation, and federal and regional executive authorities.
Exposition
In 2009, it is planned that more than 400 companies from 16 countries will participate in the exhibition. The exposition will be located in two pavilions of the Crocus Expo International Exhibition Center on a total area of 21,343 sq. m. The largest Russian and global companies in the security market, such as EMU, ITV Group, Panasonic, Bosch, Samsung, Thales, Axis Communications, Geutebrueck, FSUE STC Eleron, NPK Soyuzspetsavtomatika, STC Atlas, FSUE confirmed their participation «Nikiret», «Satro-Paladin», the company «Security», «Armo-Group», «Accord SB», «AAM Systems», the EURAAS association, etc., which will demonstrate new products in anti-terrorist means, video surveillance systems, access control, fire and security alarms, information security, Smart Home technology and much more.
One of the distinctive features of the forum will be collective exhibitions formed by federal ministries and departments. At the XIV Security Technologies Forum, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the FSB of Russia, Rosinformtekhnologii, Roscosmos, and the Ministry of Industry and Science of the Moscow Region will show their achievements. Large foreign pavilions from Germany, China, Taiwan, and Korea will also be presented.
Business and competition programs
As part of the XIV International Forum, a large congress program will be held, which will include more than 40 business events. Traditionally, events such as the All-Russian open meeting of representatives of coordinating councils under the internal affairs bodies, the annual scientific and practical conference “Terrorism and Transport Security”, Information Security Day, the seminar “Security of Cultural Institutions, Repositories of Cultural Property”, the round table “Competitive Intelligence” will be held. «, conference «Systems and means of ensuring fire safety», congress of the AIB Console Security Guild, etc.
For the ninth time, the forum will host the “Best Innovative Solutions in the Field of Security Technologies” competition program. An interdepartmental commission has been formed to evaluate the participants' competitive proposals.
Security Industry Forum and Associations
Great prospects are opened up for the forum by its partnership with Reed Exhibitions and the Security Industry Association (AIB), which makes a significant contribution to the organization of the business program. Thanks to its inclusion in the global network of security exhibitions of the Reed Exhibitions company, the forum is a unique international platform for the exchange of experience and the conclusion of profitable contracts. Every year, “Security Technologies” is visited by foreign delegations from all over the world: the European Confederation of Security Services (CoESS), the US Security Industry Association (SIA), the Chinese Security and Protection Industry Association CSPIA, the German Security Equipment Manufacturers Association, the Corporate Security Department of the Ukrainian Union of Industrialists and entrepreneurs, etc.
Forum and Global Security Industry Alliance
At the moment, the forum is one of the base platforms for the Global Security Industry Alliance. This organization brings together national associations of manufacturers and suppliers of security systems. Thus, the Security Technologies forum, along with the largest security exhibitions in Las Vegas and New York (ISC West), Sao Paulo (ISC Brazil), as well as in Shenzhen and Beijing (China Public Security Expo), has become the main platform to organize meetings between participants of the Global Security Industry Alliance. In particular, at the XIV International Forum there will be a regular meeting of the associations representing the alliance — the USA, China, Germany and Russia, at which plans for GSIA activities for 2009 will be discussed.
