XIV International Forum «Security Technologies».
From February 3 to 6, 2009, the Crocus Expo IEC will host the XIV International Forum «Security Technologies» — an event that annually opens a new business season on the Russian security market.
The Security Technologies Forum is a global exhibition project in the field of security, which will feature the following thematic expositions: technical means and systems of security, engineering and technical means of physical protection, banking security, anti-terrorism, radio electronics, components and systems of security, transport, terminal, security, fire safety and rescue equipment, safety of the technogenic sphere, equipment, personal protective equipment, services of non-governmental security structures.
The Security Technologies Forum will be held with the support of the State Duma Committee on Security, the Federation Council Committee on Defense and Security, the Security Council of the Russian Federation, federal and regional executive authorities.
Exposition
In 2009, more than 400 companies from 16 countries are expected to participate in the exhibition. The exhibition will be located in two pavilions of the Crocus Expo IEC on a total area of 21,343 sq. m. The largest Russian and global security market companies have confirmed their participation, such as EVS, ITV Group, Panasonic, Bosch, Samsung, Thales, Axis Communications, Geutebrueck, FSUE STC Eleron, NPK Soyuzspetsavtomatika, STC Atlas, FSUE Nikiret, Satro-Paladin, the company Bezopasnost, Armo-Group, Accord SB, AAM Systems, the EVRAAS association, etc., which will demonstrate new anti-terrorist equipment, video surveillance systems, access control, fire and security alarms, information protection, Smart Home technology, and much more.
One of the distinctive features of the forum will be collective expositions formed by federal ministries and departments. At the XIV forum «Security Technologies» the achievements of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Federal Security Service of Russia, Rosinformtekhnologii, Roscosmos, the Ministry of Industry and Science of the Moscow Region will be shown. Large foreign pavilions from Germany, China, Taiwan, and Korea will also be presented.
Business and competition programs
The XIV International Forum will feature a large congress program, which will include more than 40 business events. Traditionally, such events as the All-Russian Open Meeting of Representatives of Coordination Councils under Internal Affairs Agencies, the annual scientific and practical conference «Terrorism and Transport Security», Information Security Day, the seminar «Security of Cultural Institutions, Repositories of Cultural Values», the round table «Competitive Intelligence», the conference «Systems and Means of Ensuring Fire Safety», the congress of the Guild of Remote Security of the AIB, etc. will be held.For the ninth time, the forum will host the competition program «Best Innovative Solutions in the Field of Security Technologies». An interdepartmental commission has been formed to evaluate the participants' competition proposals.
Forum and Associations of the Security Industry
The forum's partnership with Reed Exhibitions and the Security Industry Association (SIA), which makes a significant contribution to the organization of the business program, opens up great prospects for the forum. Thanks to its membership in the global network of security exhibitions of Reed Exhibitions, the forum is a unique international platform for exchanging experience and concluding profitable contracts. Every year, «Security Technologies» is visited by foreign delegations from all over the world: the European Confederation of Security Services (CoESS), the Security Industry Association of the United States (SIA), the Chinese Security and Protection Industry Association CSPIA, the German Association of Manufacturers of Technical Security Equipment, the Corporate Security Department of the Ukrainian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, etc.
Forum and Global Security Industry Alliance
At present, the forum is one of the basic platforms for the Global Security Industry Alliance. This organization unites national associations of manufacturers and suppliers of security systems. Thus, the forum «Security Technologies» along with the largest security exhibitions in Las Vegas and New York (ISC West), Sao Paulo (ISC Brazil), as well as in Shenzhen and Beijing (China Public Security Expo) has become the main platform for organizing meetings between the participants of the Global Security Industry Alliance. In particular, the XIV international forum will host the next meeting of the associations representing the alliance — the USA, China, Germany and Russia, where the GSIA activity plans for 2009 will be discussed.
