Wireless technologies.

Most leading manufacturers of building automation equipment pay special attention to wireless technologies.

This trend was most noticeable in the USA.

Among the participants of the AHR Expo, the award in the field of innovations for building automation was received by Kiyon, which presented the wireless BACnet router KAN254B.

But at the Light+Building’2006 exhibition, wireless solutions were certainly present among the new products at the stands of all major companies.

We have taken into account the significant interest in this topic, and decided to devote the second issue of our newsletter entirely to wireless solutions for building automation, to understand what advantages wireless technologies offer, where their application is most effective.

And finally, to put everything in its place, analyzing what place wireless technologies occupy in the building automation market and what their future holds.

We carefully collected the most relevant – in our opinion! – information that would be of interest to all market participants: equipment manufacturers and system integrators, operating organizations and investment and construction companies. But when the issue was submitted, it became obvious that there were no clear answers to the questions raised yet.

The first issue of our bulletin was published in May 2006, and experts greeted it with great interest.

By the way, many of them noted that the chosen newspaper format distinguishes it from the professional publications that are present on the market today.

The essence of the difference was formulated simply: «magazines are leafed through, and newspapers are read.» And we agree with this…

We took a time-out in the summer, but starting in September, the bulletin will be published monthly. In addition, the circulation of the publication will increase.

The topics of the bulletin issues have already been determined by the end of the year.

However, we will be interested in considering your wishes and suggestions regarding the topics of the 2007 issues.

What would you like to learn about in future issues of our publication, what current issues would you like to read about, which authoritative experts would you like to meet on the pages of «Automation of Buildings»?
