Why do you need to draw up a fire safety protocol.
Why do you need to draw up a fire safety protocol?
Fire safety protocol
When passing the initial inspection of a new premises or building for compliance with fire safety requirements, a fire safety protocol, which regulates a number of mandatory factors. It takes into account the safety level of special materials and products used in the construction of the building, which will determine the degree of fire resistance of the structures. In addition, each type of material can have its own fire safety protocol, if required. As a rule, a separate document is drawn up for different types of fire doors, windows, etc. The document is issued by testing bodies accredited by the Security System. Fire safety protocol confirms that the materials have successfully passed tests in test laboratories and meet all the requirements imposed by law and regulations in this area.
Fire certificate of conformity
One of the types of protocol is fire certificate of conformity. It is issued only if there is a protocol. This is a document that is provided after the certification work in the field of fire safety. The validity period of such a document after its issuance varies from one year to three years, depending on the specific case. It can also be issued without a validity period. Fire certificate of conformity is valid throughout the territory of the Russian Federation.
The certificate is a mandatory document for a number of products and equipment. This document is issued after passing the certification procedure itself. Each type of product must meet its own fire safety requirements, and, accordingly, the methods for conducting certification tests differ. All methods are divided into categories of materials and products and are recorded in GOST. In order to obtain a fire certificate of conformity, it is necessary to provide the certification body with a list of the required documents: — constituent documents; — technical specifications for the product; — other technical documentation for the product: passport, drawings, description of the device and/or design. Next, the inspection organization takes samples. In some cases, a production inspection may also be carried out. The results are recorded in the sampling report and the production assessment report (if performed), and the selected samples are sent to the testing laboratory. The results of the tests performed in the laboratory are entered into the relevant protocol, which is the basis for making a decision to issue a permit — a safety certificate. The test protocol records the points of compliance with safety requirements and other characteristics of the tested products: — emission of toxic substances per unit mass of product during combustion; — flame spread group; — flammability group; — flammability group — linear flame propagation velocity; — oxygen consumption per unit mass of the product during combustion. The procedure for obtaining a certificate is characterized by financial costs, which consist of the following factors: — preparation for the examination; — sample testing; — production inspection (if provided for by the registration procedure); — the process of direct registration and issuance of the document. The duration of testing varies depending on the specific type of product, the complexity of testing, and the need for production inspection.
