The H.264 codec (modification of MPEG-4) implemented in this product at the hardware level allows for the most efficient compression of video for transmission over the network. Recorded information takes up to 40% less space on the hard drive than when using the MPEG-4 codec. This allows you to record more video on the same hard drive space.
