Video surveillance systems. Luxury or necessity?
Due to the growing need for security, video surveillance is gaining immense popularity: video intercoms, cheapand qualitatively allowing you to protect yourself and your property from intruders, video cameras that guarantee round-the-clock control of the safety of material and information assets of the business, lightning protection systems designed to protect the above-mentioned equipment from failures, etc.
When asking the question, where to buy a video surveillance system, first of all, you need to decide on the configuration. In forming the final estimate, the object itself, on which this security system is installed (apartment, office, private house), is important.
The supply of video surveillance systems is usually provided with engineering and technical support. Specialists will develop the configuration based on the functional load of the surveillance camera (wireless, hidden, outdoor). In office buildings, especially in corridors, as well as small stores, a dome camera (day night is the specified mode, allowing round-the-clock surveillance) is preferable. The bracket for the dome camera is usually mounted on the ceiling, and the lens is directed at the object being filmed.
Modern technologies in the field of video surveillance systems are improving so rapidly that today you can buy a wireless hidden camera built into any household items or accessories (for example, sunglasses).
Video surveillance is becoming a mandatory element of a modern security system, allowing for extensive and accurate monitoring and obtaining information about what is happening. For example, an ip camera, ptz device of which forms a high-quality image around the clock, is equipped with a hardware motion detector, audio input and audio output, and supports all the necessary functions for optimizing image quality.
The pricing policy is flexible. Much depends on the manufacturer: the Swedish company Axis Communications, which was founded in 1984, when digital video surveillance was just beginning to be discussed, is in high demand. Now the IP axis video server used in the security system is a sign of high quality and reliability.
The maximum resolution of the external video capture card is taken into account; it also matters whether the IP camera has IR illumination or not. The IP camera is equipped with a color or black-and-white monitor (cheap, although not as high-quality in terms of image). Black-and-white surveillance cameras are more loyal in the price segment. Outdoor cameras, in principle, do not require maximum image quality, unlike office or apartment cameras (in the latter case, a color surveillance camera would be more suitable).
Video signal transmission equipment also varies in its configuration and, accordingly, in price. It will also play a role whether you choose a middle-class or budget video recorder (the price depends on the set of functions).
