STR-1687 video recorder: keeping up with the times!.
The Smartec range of access control devices, aimed at rational users, continues to expand and has been replenished with a new 16-channel budget-class STR-1687/MPEG-4 video recorder. Thanks to its technical characteristics, it will be a good choice for medium and large video surveillance systems with high requirements for reliability and recording quality. This video recorder allows you to simultaneously record, play, view «live» video, backup and transmit video over the network.
The STR-1687 records video from 16 cameras in MPEG-4 format at 400 ips with CIF resolution, so when viewing the video archive you can recreate the situation in all details. To record video with higher quality, you can select 2CIF or D1 resolution individually for each channel. Along with video, the STR-1687 can also record audio — for this purpose, there are 8 audio inputs on its rear panel, and speakers can be connected to the audio output. For the convenience of the operator, various algorithms for searching for recorded video are provided: by date, time, event. In addition, the video recorder has VGA and BNC outputs for the main monitor and a video output for the Spot monitor.
Easy control of PTZ cameras
Using the front panel buttons or the included IR remote control, the STR-1687 allows you to control the PTZ devices of cameras connected to it via the RS-232 interface. In addition, you can control the cameras remotely via the ISNET software interfaces. The STT-CN3R1 remote control, which you can purchase separately, will provide convenient remote control of several STR-1687 and the PTZ cameras connected to them.
Expandable memory and mirror video recording
The video recorder comes with a built-in DVD-RW and HDD (IDE) with a capacity of 250 GB, but if necessary, you can install up to 2 additional hard drives in the STR-1687, and connect external CD-RW, DVD-RW, HDD devices for archiving via three USB 2.0 ports. When using at least one additional hard drive, you can use the backup mirror video recording function.
Constant HDD monitoring and video archive protection
Support for the S.M.A.R.T. protocol allows the STR-1687 to continuously monitor the current state of the hard drives on which recording is performed. In the event of a threat of failure in the drive (overheating or breakage), the system will warn the operator in advance, and this will help to avoid the loss of valuable data.
ISNET software for remote administration
The ISNET software is supplied with the STR-1687. This software has extensive capabilities for full-featured network control of video recorders, viewing and searching for video, and can serve as the core of a geographically distributed video surveillance system based on several STR-1687. ISNET supports parallel image output to three monitors, allowing you to view video from up to 75 video channels simultaneously. Full remote programming of the STR-1687 is implemented, as well as duplication of settings to other video recorders. At the same time, each STR-1687 in the system supports simultaneous connection of up to 5 users.
Monitoring current video
ISNET allows remote monitoring of current video in both full-screen and multi-screen modes. At the same time, the status of video recorders is checked and notifications about events are received from them with the output of relevant information and recording of events in the system log. Telemetry control of PTZ cameras is possible, including using a remote control (joystick). ISNET allows simultaneous connection to 16 STR-1687 devices and creation of a virtual matrix, setting the order of ISNET connection to video recorders and displaying certain sets of cameras on the screen.
Viewing and Searching
Using the user-friendly ISNET interfaces, you can view recorded video from any channel, as well as search the archive by date/time/event, including graphic plans.
Alarm processing
ISNET uses flexible algorithms for responding to alarm events. In response to an event, you can configure the operator to be notified with a sound signal, display an event screen, launch an external program, and register the event in a log. If necessary, the ISNET operator has the ability to send a text message to a local monitor connected to the STR-1687.
Visual display of video surveillance system elements
The eMap software module allows you to create object maps. A graphic map allows you to not only display the location of video surveillance devices in the premises, but also establish logical connections between the devices. Thanks to eMap, you will have this convenient tool for viewing video, managing video recorders and monitoring alarms.
