MVK-81 video cameras – everything is thought out.
In September 2010, ByteErg launched a new line of outdoor video cameras, the MVK-81 series. They embodied the best modern technologies and 14 years of experience of the company's developers.
High-resolution and sensitivity video modules
The MVK-81 series uses video modules developed by ByteErg. The black and white cameras use a module based on SONY CCD matrices with EXview technology (580 TVL and 0.02 lx/F1.4).
Black and white video cameras have an RDO mode, which ensures image sharpness under any lighting conditions.
Color video cameras use a video module based on SONY Super HAD CCD II CCD matrices (550 TVL, «day» 0.12 lux/F1.4, «night» 0.12 lux/F1.4).
The «day-night» mode is implemented using a sliding IR filter.
External adjustments of the varifocal ARD lens
An important advantage of the new cameras is the ability to adjust the focus and focal length of the varifocal (2.8–10.8 mm) lens without opening the case.
The upper part of the case (under the visor) has knobs for adjusting the lens. The horizontal viewing angle can be changed within 97–24°.
Strong and lightweight case
The housings of the MVK-81 series video cameras are made of polycarbonate. This is a modern material, from which many products are manufactured that serve continuously in all weather conditions. The use of polycarbonate made it possible to create an elegant housing of a modern design. The material used does not change color under the influence of solar radiation, as a result, the video camera will look neat even many years after installation.
IR illuminator unit
The MVK-81 series has 2 models with an IR illuminator unit, the development of which took into account all the subtleties of their use.
The IR illuminators are located outside the video camera housing for the following reasons:
better cooling, resulting in a lower risk of overheating;
insects attracted by the heat in summer will not swarm near the optical window and interfere with observation;
the removable design of the IR floodlight unit simplifies its maintenance.
In addition, the IR floodlights implement the following elements:
the floodlights do not use individual IR diodes, but a diode matrix with a common lens, resulting in a compact solution with powerful radiation;
the power stabilizer allows the floodlights to operate with the same power in the voltage range of 10.5–13.5 V (DC);
The IR floodlights have a day-night mode controlled by photocells;
the floodlight is the master and controls the day-night mode in color video cameras;
each floodlight comes with two lenses (30° and 60°) for individual adjustment of the IR radiation angle;
provides a viewing range in complete darkness with the IR illuminators turned on — 30 m for color video cameras (MVK-8152 c DVI) and 40 m for black-and-white video cameras (MVK-8141ARVI), when using 30° lenses in the IR illuminators.
Fastening elements
When developing the bracket, practical comments from installers were taken into account, as a result of which the fastening system turned out to be simple and convenient:
first, a compact metal flange is attached to the surface, and then the bracket is placed on it and secured;
The bracket, reinforced with stiffeners, can withstand a weight of up to 20 kg;
the cable tray in the bracket allows you to neatly place the wires inside;
Wide range of operating temperatures and direct heating of the optical window
The design and material of the housing allow the video cameras to operate stably in the range of -45 – +50 °C. As in all MVK video cameras of the 2010 model range, the MVK-81 series cameras use direct heating of the glass, which eliminates fogging with sudden temperature changes.
Tightness
High tightness of the MVK-81 series video cameras is ensured by high-precision manufacturing of all elements and high-quality rubber seals at the joints of the parts.
Ready for operation
Like all MVK video cameras, the MVK-81 series models are delivered to the customer completely ready for operation and with factory settings.
Models in the MVK-81 series
Today, the series includes 4 models. Their characteristics are given in Table 1
In the fourth quarter of 2010, the MVK-81 series will be supplemented with models with the ability to remotely adjust the video camera menu.
The new MVK-81 series video cameras have high resolution, sensitivity, a convenient mechanism for adjusting the viewing angle of the varifocal lens and a well-thought-out algorithm for the operation of IR spotlights.
These video cameras will allow you to effectively solve many video surveillance tasks in a wide range of external conditions.
