Several thousand cases of theft and hijacking of commercial vehicles are registered in Russia every year, and the total damage from these criminal acts amounts to tens of millions of dollars. At the same time, about 95% of cars in this category are not equipped with any additional anti-theft devices or means of warning about attempted cargo theft. And all this despite the fact that the average cost of a commercial vehicle is significantly higher than that of an average passenger car.
In the current circumstances, MEGA-F, a Russian developer and supplier of car security systems and accessories, announces the launch of the SCHER-KHAN TAIGA two-way communication car alarm system. The system is designed for installation on trucks, buses and construction equipment with an on-board network voltage of 24 V.
SCHER-KHAN TAIGA provides reliable protection against theft and theft of transported goods, and also warns the driver of any changes in the state of the protected vehicle. The system uses the dynamic MAGIC CODETM PRO algorithm to encode the control radio signal, which changes with each press of the key fob button and provides reliable protection against attempts at intellectual hacking, scanning or interception of the code.
The new security system is equipped with a stylish multifunctional four-button key fob-switch with an LCD display, providing symmetrical two-way communication at a distance of up to 2,000 m. The shockproof key fob is resistant to abrasion and mechanical damage. In addition, the remote control-communicator has an indicator of the feedback signal level, protection against accidental pressing of buttons, a power-saving mode and a «Hands-free» function. The delivery set of the new security system also includes an additional compact one-way key fob and everything necessary for installation on a vehicle.
SCHER-KHAN TAIGA is equipped with a backup power source to ensure uninterrupted operation of the processor unit and transmission of alarm messages even when the standard car battery is disconnected. In addition, the kit includes a universal digital tilt and shock sensor, which is adjusted remotely from the key fob.
To protect against robbery and violent seizure of the vehicle, the system includes the JackStop™ function. This mode increases driver safety and reduces the likelihood of theft due to a variety of activation options, including those simulating an engine malfunction. In addition, the system provides the ability to program automatic control of the cabin door locks, which helps protect the driver and passengers from attack by intruders.
SCHER-KHAN car alarms feature a PIN code for disarming, which prevents theft by stealing the key fob. When this function is activated after pressing the «disarm» button on the key fob, the system will notify you of the transition to the PIN code waiting mode, known only to the owner. Thus, the car will open and unlock only after the security system receives a unique sequence of signals corresponding to the numbers on the key fob buttons. Therefore, without knowing the PIN code, intruders who stole the key fob will not be able to use it. Moreover, the PIN code numbers can be changed independently at any time, limiting access to the vehicle for people who know the previous code. And even if a qualified thief scans and intercepts one command from the sequential dialogue of the key fob and the system, this will not allow him to disarm the car.
Additional advantages of the system include the ability to switch the key fob to control a second vehicle, protection against unauthorized registration of additional key fobs, and the use of individual secret codes to arm and disarm the system without a key fob or keys.
For vehicles with a turbocharged engine, the «Intelligent Turbo Timer» function is provided. Depending on the traffic intensity before stopping, the system automatically sets the required engine operating time after turning off the ignition, which significantly increases the life of the turbine.
