The Security Technologies Forum is a brand with a worldwide reputation.
From February 5 to 8, Crocus Expo will host the 13th Security Technologies Forum, a global international exhibition project that joined the network of global security exhibitions in 2007.
This year, the Security Technologies project turns 13. All this time, it has grown together with the security industry, adding new thematic sections and expositions, drawing into its orbit representatives of ministries and departments, heads and specialists of enterprises, public organizations, journalists from leading industry and mass media. The circle of specialists taking part in it is constantly growing.
Last year, 476 companies from 22 countries took part in the forum's expositions, including world-famous brands — GE, Bosch, Geutebrueck, Axis, System Sensor Fire Detectors, etc. The business program included 40 events, and the number of visitors exceeded 24,000 people. The exhibition has undergone an independent audit twice, is UFI certified and meets high international standards. This year, more than 500 companies are expected to participate in the forum, as well as more than 50 business program events — conferences, seminars, round tables.
The International Forum «Security Technologies» promotes the integration of the Russian and international security markets, attracting participants and visitors from all over the world. Demonstrating new developments in all areas of the security market, from CCTV and access control to transport security and rescue equipment, the forum attracts a unique composition of visitors. These are primarily large installers and system integrators from more than 60 regions of Russia, end users from leading industries (oil and gas, construction industry, banks, government customers). 86% of visitors are direct decision makers.
The expansion of the international component of the forum is largely facilitated by the ongoing cooperation of the project organizers with the Security Industry Association. The international activities of the AIB, aimed at establishing working contacts and developing joint programs with specialized foreign organizations, promoting Russian security industry companies on the world market and integrating them into the global professional community, played an important role in the fact that the conferences and other events of the business program of the Security Technologies forum are attended by heads of security industry associations of the USA and China, the Confederation of European Security Services, as well as leading industry experts from a number of countries near and far abroad. The formation at the beginning of last year of the Global Alliance of Security Industry Associations, of which the AIB was one of the co-founders, will serve to even more effectively promote the Security Technologies forum as a significant marketing and information tool for the rapidly developing Russian security market. In 2007, an important event took place – the international forum “Security Technologies” joined the network of world exhibition projects on security, organized by Reed Exhibitions. According to the organizers of the forum, this reflects the strategic vision of the Russian security market as one of the priority markets of the future and is a logical result of fruitful cooperation of the organizers of the forum with the world exhibition operator – Reed Exhibitions and the authoritative US Security Industry Association (SIA), which unites world brands. In 2008, forum participants will have a unique opportunity to visit the largest security exhibitions organized by Reed Exhibitions around the world and forming part of the company’s network of global exhibition projects: ISNR-Abu-Dhabi (March 2–5, 2008, Abu Dhabi, UAE), ISC-WEST (April 2–4, 2008, Las Vegas, USA), ISC Brasil (June 18–20, 2008, Sao Paulo, Brazil), OSEC (July 9–11, 2008, Tokyo, Japan), ISC EAST (October 29–30, 2008, New York, USA), ExpoProtection (November 4–7, 2008, Paris, France), ISNR-London (December 2008, London, UK), APS (September 25–27, 2008, Paris, France). For Russian companies, participation in these exhibitions opens up new opportunities for promoting their products on world markets.
Thus, in 2008, thanks to the active participation of German and Chinese companies, the exposition of personal protective equipment and gear, as well as inspection equipment, was expanded. Foreign companies will also take an active part in the forum's business program. It will include a round table discussion on «Investment Attractiveness of the Russian Security Market», in which Richard Chase, Executive Director of the American Security Association (SIA), as well as representatives of the Chinese and European associations, will speak. Russian companies will also be able to take part in the round table.
The expansion of international participation makes the forum an unconditional marketing platform for global brands that have come to trust the high exhibition standards and technologies of the company all over the world.
