The control center project unites 36 engineering and information systems. At present, the first eleven-story building, with a total area of ​​4,700 sq. m., has been commissioned, and construction work has begun in the second four-story building.

The purpose of creating a new control center is to ensure reliable operational and dispatch control of the energy systems of Moscow and the Moscow region by creating conditions for the most effective planning and control of modes, increasing the reliability and survivability of all control systems

The solution of these problems is largely determined by the availability of infrastructure that meets modern requirements, technical equipment of the control center, inextricably linked with engineering equipment and operational condition of buildings and structures. The complex of engineering systems of the building includes a communication center, physical security systems of the building, guaranteed power supply, ventilation and air conditioning, including precision for server rooms, as well as a complex of water and gas fire extinguishing. For a single data exchange, a structured cable system has been implemented.

The new control center has the most modern equipment. 16 organizations worked on the project. In particular, subcontractors designed a 10×4.8 meter video screen consisting of 28 video cubes, which display the status and operating parameters of all objects in the Moscow RDU operating zone in real time. Using the advantages of video projection equipment and modern technologies made it possible to display 555 objects and 897 power lines of various voltage classes from 110 to 750 kV.

KROK designed the entire complex of engineering systems of the building in accordance with the current building codes, GOSTs and SP «Standard design solutions and technical requirements for the preparation of working projects for the construction of buildings to accommodate the dispatch centers of JSC SO — CDU UES — RDU» (Internal collection of standards of SO — CDU UES) «The transfer of operational dispatch control to the new center has significantly increased the reliability of dispatch control in the operating area of ​​the Branch of JSC SO — CDU UES — Moscow RDU, which is especially important in the autumn-winter period, characterized, as a rule, by a sharp increase in energy consumption in Moscow and the region,» noted Sergey Borisovich Syutkin, General Director of the ODU Center. «Our specialists were faced with the task of integrating a large number of engineering systems into a single complex in the conditions of limited power supply capacities in the reconstructed building. This is always more difficult than when constructing a building from scratch. As a result of close cooperation with colleagues from «SO-CDU UES», as well as organizations working on the project, the customer received a modern, comfortable and safe office, and we received experience that will be useful in the implementation of any complex project,» noted Alexander Shirokov, Director of the Intelligent Buildings Department of KROK.
