The LINESCAN TnT system was developed by EG SeG Astrophysics Research to simulate a real situation reproduced in the form of images on monitors used in training and testing of operators of X-ray inspection installations. It contains several modules:

— module «lessons» introduces the operator to the operation of the LINESCAN system. The lessons offered to the operator are worked through by him independently, depending on his individual abilities. As a result, he acquires the knowledge, qualifications and skills necessary for the successful interpretation of X-ray images. .

— image library — is a collection of images of various objects found on the displays of X-ray inspection systems. The images of objects are accompanied by descriptive text explaining the special features by which these objects can be identified. — Reporting Module — Reports can be generated on various training and testing related topics. The trainer can generate reports on the progress of operators during training on the main or additional programs. In addition, reports can be generated on the performance of operators by measuring their productivity under various loads, their alertness and their ability to identify threats when working in a real-life situation.

— Content Analysis Module — is a computer simulation module that enables trainees to develop and improve their ability to distinguish between hazardous and non-hazardous objects. In simulation mode, the LINESCAN TnT systemelectronically «fills the bag» with items from the image library. The trainee's task is to detect all the items in a certain number of repeated presentations.

— The Real-time Testing module for operators LINESCAN TnT is designed for direct operation with the X-ray inspection system LINESCANwhen testing successful operators. Its main feature is the use of a device for projecting images with simulated threats. Such an image is projected onto the image of a real inspected object when it passes through an X-ray beam in an inspection unit. The purpose of the device for projecting simulated images is to test the operator's attentiveness and his ability to detect dangerous objects in a real working environment.
