The ARMO-Systems company has presented 16-channel digital video recorders STR-1693 of the Smartec brand, which record video in MPEG-4 format with a resolution of up to 720×576 pixels at 25 fps per channel.
Unlike most Stand Alone devices on the security market, these digital video recorders can record video in real time with a resolution of up to 720×576 pixels (D1) for each of the 16 video channels. High image resolution combined with maximum recording speed allows these video recorders to be used at sites with increased requirements for video information quality. At the same time, STR-1693 allows you to simultaneously view «live» video on all channels, record and copy it, play the archive and transmit video over the network.
To increase the video archive volume without installing additional HDDs, the resolution can be reduced to 2CIF or CIF. A video archive with a total capacity of up to 30 TB, which the STR-1693 can handle, allows you to store high-resolution recordings for a long time. At the same time, in the basic configuration, digital video recorders are equipped with one 250 GB hard drive, but have free slots for installing two permanent and two removable SATA HDDs with a total capacity of up to 3 TB. To increase disk space, additional Smartec STG-ES disk arrays with a total capacity of up to 27 TB can be connected to the STR-1693, each of which includes 4 removable SATA HDDs.
Any recording from the video archive can be copied to a DVD disc in a special format, since the STR-1693 digital video recorders are equipped with a DVD-RW device. In addition to the video sequence itself, the player program is also recorded on the disc, with the help of which the digital video can be viewed on any computer. In order to ensure the safety of especially important fragments, the video recorder offers the use of the video backup function from selected cameras both according to a schedule and from all cameras simultaneously.
Another feature of the STR-1693 is the presence of four independent BNC outputs for monitors, on which you can view video from different groups of cameras, including current video and video archive. Due to this, the video recorder allows you to organize four independent video surveillance posts with the ability to output to the monitor of each required group of cameras and view video in multi-screen mode. In addition, digital video recorders are equipped with 4 audio inputs and one audio output, which allows them to record and transmit sound synchronized with video to any point in the digital video surveillance system, including over the network.
Due to the support of the most popular telemetry protocols, digital video recorders allow you to control the zoom and the direction of view of high-speed dome or PTZ cameras via RS-232 and RS-485 interfaces. For remote control of the STR-1693 itself and PTZ cameras, you can additionally purchase the STT-3X remote control from Smartec, which is connected to one of the many digital ports. 16 alarm inputs, 4 relay outputs and a hardware motion detector allow the STR-1693 to quickly respond to alarm signals coming from connected security sensors and a video detector. When an alarm signal is received, these digital video recorders can change the recording quality settings, turn on digital recording on one or more channels, give an audible signal, activate one or more actuators, and send a notification by e-mail. In addition, they record pre-alarm video for 5 seconds and post-alarm video for 60 seconds.
Free Russified VMS software, which is included with each digital video recorder, allows you to view live video with synchronous audio on your PC, search in the video archive and play back what you find, as well as monitor events and remotely program the STR-1693 over the network. The free Lite version supports up to 16 video recorders, and the paid VMS-Pro version allows you to manage up to 1024 STR-1693 and offers advanced features, including interactive graphic maps, multi-monitor configurations, etc. |
