Characteristics and parameters:

The detector uses sawtooth frequency modulation of the transmitter carrier frequency and software signal processing at the receiver. There is gain and range adjustment, discrete threshold adjustment, relay and interface (RS-485) outputs.
Unlike similar detectors operating on the basis of the Doppler effect, false alarms from small objects moving in the immediate vicinity of the detector are eliminated. The detector is configured using a laptop. It is possible to change the parameters directly from the security service workplace.
The detector forms a detection zone up to 100 meters long, with the ability to eliminate interference from moving third-party objects located in the protected area. To eliminate interference from third-party objects, when setting up the detector at the facility, zones of «suspected interference» of the required size are formed. The function of detecting an intruder in such zones remains. In the same way, «authorized passage zones» can be formed with the ability to set a time interval for authorized passage during the day.
The main feature of the technology for forming such special zones at a protected facility is the ability to set arbitrary boundaries for these zones and their number.
This allows for:
 — quick disabling of any of the selected zones or separate setting of sensitivity in each formed zone;
— limiting the maximum detection range;
— programming of human detection in designated areas in real time, with the ability to set “time intervals” for authorized passage of personnel, etc.);

The detector is designed for continuous round-the-clock operation in open spaces and maintains its characteristics at an ambient temperature from minus 40 C to +50? C and relative air humidity up to 98% at a temperature of +35?
The detector provides adjustment of the detection zone length from 10 meters to 100 meters with an accuracy of +- 1 meter.
The operating frequency of the detector is 24.000 — 24.250 GHz.
The maximum sizes of detector detection zones depend on the type of antenna module used. Two detector design options with different detection zones are offered for use in different areas of the protected facility.

        A functional feature of the Agat-7 series detectors is the use of software algorithms for independent adjustment of signal levels separately for different sections of the detection zone range. This feature eliminates the influence of complex surface relief of the area, as well as the influence of radio wave reflection from stationary objects at the boundaries of the detection zone. In addition, a special «interference cutoff» mode completely eliminates the influence of large-sized moving objects (car, truck, train, etc.) outside the established detection zone.
The Agat-7 series detectors use a technology for forming special zones at the protected facility with the ability to set arbitrary boundaries of these zones and their number.
A design feature of the Agat-7 series detectors is the use of specialized microstrip antenna modules designed for building industrial radars. The detectors of the «Agat-7» series have a unified housing made of high-quality impact-resistant polystyrene.

Installation at sites:

The detector is designed for installation where the installation of two-position detection devices is difficult or impractical. For example, in dead ends, in the corners of perimeters, on the walls and roofs of buildings, in tunnels, as well as to control the approach of intruders to the protected perimeter or territory.

Serial production of the «Agat-7» series detectors is planned to begin in the 4th quarter of 2010.
