Siemens is ready to ensure the safety of the Winter Olympic Games 2014.
The consultation provided by Siemens employees included a detailed analysis of all developed technical aspects of the Sochi 2014 Security Concept. Using the extensive experience gained from Athens 2004 and Doha 2006, Siemens representatives determined the time needed to address the development, implementation, and management of programs, including training programs and the transfer of experience accumulated by the Siemens team.
Siemens employees assessed the safety plans for the Olympic Games proposed by the Sochi 2014 Committee, and also assessed the budget required for their implementation. Several large-scale integrated systems designed to ensure the security of the movement of people, vehicles and materials in (and around) the Olympic Games site have been proposed for consideration, with the proposed use of the Security Command and Operations Center – ICOC) along with local resources. “Sochi-2014” undertake to ensure safety during the Olympic Games, complying with obligations of both a financial and temporary nature. Having received the honorary right to host the 2014 Winter Olympic Games, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, together with the Sochi-2014 team, will install an integrated security system for the Winter Olympic Games, based on previous experience gained during the Olympic Games, in particular, the Security Overlay Domain security system System” (SODS).
Using modern technology, this program will ensure the safety of all objects and groups located on the territory of the Games, as well as athletes, spectators, visitors and local residents.
