Selective protection for cars of the company S MacNeillie & Son Ltd.

The company has been building bodywork for special vehicles since 1912 and has been producing comfortable, functional vehicles with selective protection for over 20 years for the heads of police, government agencies including the UK Ministry of Defence, members of royal families of various countries, statesmen and industrial leaders. The quality of the work performed by the company is certified by the UK Ministry of Defence for compliance with AQAP I, ISO 9001, EN 29001 and BS 5750 Part 1 standards. Thanks to this, the company's unique armoured vehicles are of the highest quality. The company always strives to ensure that the entire passenger compartment is reliably protected from impacts and explosions, and the level of protection meets the requirements of a specific customer. The entire bottom is protected by blast-resistant armour, and the rest of the passenger compartment protects against kinetic impact. Doors and other openings are protected by armoured ceilings and shrapnel deflectors. Around the necessary openings in the main armour there is a spaced or overlapping secondary armour. The front and rear bulkheads are fully lined with armor material, and the fuel tank, which can be additionally protected by a 3-mm steel armor plate, is equipped with explosion-proof material. As an additional insurance, all wheels and tires are equipped with devices that allow driving with flat tires.

Fully armored vehicles of the MacNeillie companyprovide protection against multiple hits from rapid-fire combat weapons. An armored vehicle also requires modifications to many standard components and equipment to meet the higher specifications and provide the same service life and performance as a standard model. For example, the suspension must be reinforced to support the increased weight of an armored vehicle. Door hinges must be reinforced and a third hinge added if necessary, and fulcrums modified to accommodate the additional weight.

In addition, our staff can modify and replace other vehicle equipment components to meet the exact specifications of the customer and make any necessary changes, such as lengthening the vehicle body and wheelbase. The end result will be a vehicle that is externally indistinguishable from the factory model, but fully armored and, if required, equipped with significantly higher levels of equipment.
