Resolution of the Supreme Council of the Russian Federation of February 19, 1993 No. 4525-1

«On the Entry into Force of the Law of the Russian Federation «On Federal Bodies of Government Communications and Information»

The Supreme Council of the Russian Federation resolves:

1. To enact the Law of the Russian Federation «On Federal Bodies of Government Communications and Information» from the moment of its publication.

2. To the Government of the Russian Federation:

by March 1, 1993, adopt the Regulation on the Federal Agency for Government Communications and Information under the President of the Russian Federation;

by April 1, 1993, bring the regulatory acts of the Government of the Russian Federation into conformity with the said Law;

by May 1, 1993, ensure the revision and cancellation by ministries, state committees and departments of the Russian Federation of their regulatory acts that contradict the said Law.

3. The Committees of the Supreme Council of the Russian Federation on Legislation and on Defense and Security, the Commission of the Council of the Republic of the Supreme Council of the Russian Federation on Transport, Communications, Information Technology and Space shall submit for consideration by the Supreme Council of the Russian Federation proposals to bring legislative acts of the Russian Federation into conformity with the said Law by April 1, 1993.

4. The Commissions of the Council of the Republic of the Supreme Council of the Russian Federation on Transport, Communications, Information Technology and Space and the Committee of the Supreme Council of the Russian Federation on Defense and Security, based on an analysis of law enforcement practice, shall promptly submit for consideration by the Supreme Council of the Russian Federation proposals to amend or supplement individual provisions of the said Law.
