The Smartec video surveillance equipment line is constantly expanding, being replenished with new models of high-end devices. Thanks to continuous market searches, ARMO-System specialists manage to find real pearls among many “empty” shells, which become worthy representatives of the Smartec collection. Such finds include the new 16-channel premium video recorder STR-1693, which records video from analog cameras in MPEG-4 format with a resolution of 720 x 576 pixels and a speed of 400 images/sec. In addition, it has 4 independent multi-screen monitor outputs, the ability to expand the video archive up to 31 TB and comes complete with full-fledged VMS software for remote video monitoring and video recorder control from a PC.
STR-1693 is capable of recording video from 16 analog cameras in real time (25 fps) with D1 resolution (720 x 576 pixels) for each channel. This combination ensures maximum efficiency of video surveillance, making these video recorders suitable for use at sites with increased requirements for recording speed and quality.
Possibility of viewing independent groups of cameras on 4 monitors
The STR-1693 has four independent BNC outputs for monitors, where you can view video from different groups of cameras, including current video and archive playback. Thanks to this, one video recorder allows you to organize four independent surveillance posts with the ability to select a particular group of cameras on the monitor in a multi-window format.
Control of PTZ cameras and video recorders using telemetry remote controls
To control the zoom and direction of view of PTZ cameras, the video recorders are equipped with RS-232/485 interfaces and support the most common telemetry protocols. When connecting the Smartec STT-3X remote control to these ports, you can remotely control both the STR-1693 themselves and the PTZ cameras.
Expandable disk space up to 31 TB
The standard delivery of video recorders includes one 250 GB hard drive, but can support up to 4 built-in SATA HDDs with a total capacity of up to 4 TB. Further increase in the STR-1693 archive capacity is possible by connecting Smartec STG-ES disk arrays, each of which has 4 bays for removable SATA hard drives. Disk arrays (up to 8 pcs.) with a total capacity of up to 27 TB are connected to the STR-1693 in cascade via a special gigabit port.
Recording and searching video information by various criteria
STR-1693 allows you to simultaneously view current video, record it, copy it, play back the video archive and transmit video over the network. In addition, the video recorder can perform continuous or emergency video recording, as well as recording on a schedule, by a motion detector or by an alarm from a security sensor. Pre-alarm recording (up to 5 s) and post-alarm recording (up to 60 s) are also supported. Video search in the archive is possible by date/time, by calendar (in graphic mode) or by event protocol.
Copying video information to DVD discs
STR-1693 is equipped with DVD-RW, with which you can copy interesting video fragments from the archive in a special format together with the player program. Guaranteed safety of especially important fragments is ensured by backup copying of video from individual cameras on a schedule or from all cameras simultaneously.
STR-1693 response to events
Each DVR in this series is equipped with a motion detector, 16 alarm inputs for security sensors and 4 relay outputs for controlling actuators. The hardware motion detector is configured individually for each channel. When an alarm signal is received from sensors or from the motion detector, the STR-1693 can sound a signal, send an email notification, activate one or more actuators, change the recording quality settings or turn on recording for one or more channels.
Remote administration using VMS software
The VMS software supplied with the STR-1693 supports viewing current video with synchronous audio on a PC, searching in the video archive and playing back what has been found, remote programming of the STR-1693 and monitoring events over the network. The free Lite version allows you to control up to 16 DVRs, and the optional VMS-Pro version can support up to 1024 devices, and also provides the user with a set of additional features (interactive graphic maps, multi-monitor configurations, etc.). Using the SmartSearch function, VMS software can perform a retrospective search in the archive for frames with movement in a certain area of the image, even if the DVR was recording continuously without using a motion detector.
