Protected building.
Protected building
The «Protected Building» solution is aimed at ensuring comprehensive security of the building when used as part of an enterprise or for human habitation.
Threats associated with building operation:
1. Unauthorized access to premises
2. Fire, smoke, flooding
3. Power supply network outages
4. Communication network outages
5. Unauthorized access to computing network resources
The basis of this solution is the integration of security systems, centralization of management and control. This approach provides functional and economic advantages due to the use of a single information space and engineering infrastructure.
Integration of security systems
A unified building security management system is a set of engineering systems united by a common data transmission network and a control center. In such a system, there is a single list of objects and security subjects with a common access configuration mechanism. The unified system includes the following security subsystems:
* access control and management system;
* video surveillance along the perimeter of buildings;
* video surveillance in premises;
* fire and security alarm;
* fire extinguishing system;
* room ventilation system;
* control of access to computer network resources (via personal computers and information kiosks).
A single card based on SmartCard or SmartCard + RFID technology is used to identify users of the system. This single identifier is used to access a building, a room, an employee office, to manage alarm systems, to access a computer network and to access information resources.
When identifying a user (accessing a room or computer network), a photo image of a person's face can be used with subsequent automatic recognition and verification based on a reference database of faces. If the photo images of faces do not match, the security administrator will receive a prompt notification or access will be blocked.
An irregular visitor receives a temporary access card, his identification data and a photo of his face are entered into the security system. Based on the card, the visitor can enter the premises authorized for him, as well as gain access to the resources of the computer network through special stands — information kiosks.
Video surveillance systems solve the problems of access control to the protected perimeter at night, identify abandoned objects, and monitor the legitimate use of user identifiers through facial recognition.
Information from fire alarm, ventilation and fire extinguishing systems is accumulated in a single control center, and access to system control is also provided via a single card.
Video surveillance at the enterprise
An industrial enterprise is a complex of buildings and structures of various structures and purposes, united by a common territory and technological process. In some cases, an enterprise has geographically remote facilities at a distance of several kilometers to tens of kilometers.
Video surveillance of an industrial enterprise is designed to perform the following functions:
1. Security
2. Disciplinary
3. Auxiliary function of production process management
4. Coordinating.
If there are geographically remote facilities, remote video surveillance organized via the Internet, a local computer network or a telephone line may be indispensable for management.
Video surveillance of the enterprise territory is reduced to the placement of outdoor television cameras in a thermal casing with heating and ventilation on buildings, structures and free-standing vertical structures. Particular attention should be paid to entrance and fire gates, platforms and gates of warehouse premises, parking. A separate point should be mentioned at the enterprise checkpoint, where high-resolution video cameras should be installed, providing high-quality images.
Video surveillance in the workshops of the enterprise is organized in accordance with the production process. If only a general idea of the production process is required, it is enough to install a wide-angle overview camera for every 500 — 1000 square meters of production space. To monitor fast-moving production processes, the number of cameras should be increased proportionally to the complexity of the process itself. The entrances and exits of the workshops are equipped with cameras to prevent theft of products (and sometimes equipment) from production facilities.
Warehouses of the enterprise and perimeter security require a large number of video cameras. To organize video surveillance of the warehouse territory, it is necessary to install outdoor video cameras every 20-30 linear meters, preferably with overlapping «dead zones». Particular attention should be paid to gates and loading & unloading areas: here it is necessary to install video cameras with high resolution and good image quality, for subsequent analysis and analysis of situations.
A video surveillance system in a company's office will help prevent and record the facts of penetration into protected premises and onto the territory of unauthorized persons, the facts of damage and theft of material assets, control the activities of employees, and prevent conflict situations. In addition, video surveillance in the office will help ensure the protection of the life and health of employees and visitors, prevent the leakage of confidential information that is a commercial secret of the company.
To avoid abuse, the company's vehicles can be equipped with a mobile video surveillance system integrated with a satellite tracking system, which will allow real-time tracking of transport traffic, reduce its downtime and deviations from specified routes.
Technically, the video surveillance system is located on the basis of a single enterprise control center and can be integrated with an access control system and security alarm.
