PELCO IP systems. A conscious choice.
Did you know that PELCO is one of the largest manufacturers of IP cameras? This question will probably surprise someone. Indeed, for many, PELCO is famous as a manufacturer of traditional CCTV equipment. And yet, today the company produces 32 models of IP cameras and its own platform for building an IP video surveillance system — ENDURA. The main concept of building PELCO devices is no compromises. This means that IP cameras and the ENDURA system provide 4CIF resolution (768×576) at 25 fps for each channel in surveillance and recording mode. At the same time, the flow is only 2 Mbit/s per channel!
The impressive line of IP cameras includes fixed models Camclosure IP and IP3701, as well as high-speed dome PTZ cameras – Spectra EVS. The main difference between PELCO IP cameras and other manufacturers is their modularity.
The Camclosure IP series cameras are 16 modifications of IP cameras that use 4 video modules — color high resolution, day-night, WDR and day-night WDR. All cameras use the latest developments in the field of digital image processing, including DPS matrices from PIXIM. Each of the video modules can have one of two varifocal lenses with ARD f = 3-9.5 or f = 9-22mm. If necessary, the installation or replacement of the module can be done in a matter of seconds directly on the site. It is enough just to remove the connectors and take out the module, releasing the mount. Change the video module — get another IP camera. Camclosure IP can be installed indoors and outdoors at temperatures from -46 to +50 degrees C! Thanks to the open interface and support for two compression algorithms MJPEG and MPEG4, Camclosure IP can operate as part of any IP security system. Use the API and implement cameras in your system!
Spectra EVS IP cameras are 15 modifications of high-speed dome IP cameras, which use 5 video modules with lenses that provide the Zoom function with a magnification of 16, 18, 22, 23 and 35 times! The case, decorative glass and the camera itself can be assembled for a specific task, and you do not need a tool for assembly — all units have universal mounts. Spectra EVS IP cameras can be installed on any surface indoors and outdoors. They are capable of working literally in extreme conditions, at ambient temperatures from -60 to +60 degrees C.
In turn, the ENDURA system is a complete line of devices necessary for building a network system, including single-channel, 2-, 8- and 16-channel Net5300 series encoders, Endura Intelligent encoders, DVR5100 and DVR5300 digital video recorders, NVR5100 network video recorders, Net5301R decoders, WS5050 workstations and even VCD5000 virtual digital matrices. The reliability of the system is ensured by Linux OS.
Any of the ENDURA system video recorders can record images not only from analog cameras, but also streams from PELCO IP cameras. «Soft transition» from analog to digital systems is your opportunity to use both technologies simultaneously.
Do you need guarantees of reliable long-term recording? NVR5100 network video recorders will provide an archive of up to 15 TB per device using the RAID5 scheme. Endura Store data storage technology will determine the priority and time of file deletion upon reaching the storage capacity limit.
You need to work with graphic plans of the facility — the WS5050 workstation allows you to work with images and site maps simultaneously.
Using the VCD5000 digital matrix, you can create a virtual digital video switcher, not limiting yourself to just a workstation monitor. Each VCD5000 matrix provides image output from any IP camera or encoder on the network to any of its monitors. You can connect up to 4 monitors and one KBD5000 keyboard to the VCD5000, with which the operator controls the system. If you need to increase the number of monitors, add the required number of VCD5000 and Net5301R decoders. All of them will be controlled from a single KBD5000 keyboard.
