New fire safety system SINTESO from Siemens.
Siemens currently holds 62,000 active patents. More than 40 million fire detectors have been installed worldwide. More than 400 employees are engaged in research and development. The company owns one of the largest laboratories in Europe for testing fire safety systems. Siemens operates in 190 countries, has more than 130 offices and many production sites around the world.
The SINTESO™ fire safety system is a new development of the company. It has undergone numerous tests in test laboratories, where calculations and the necessary analysis of all possible factors of ignition, fire development at various facilities were made.
SINTESO™ is the highest reliability and an unrivaled level of protection against false alarms to date
The main platform of SINTESO™ is a new series of compact control panels: FC2020, FC2040, FC2060.
FC2020 — panels for small systems. In the basic configuration, they have 2 loops with up to 252 addresses. An optional addition of up to 4 loops is provided while maintaining the number of addresses.
FC2040 – control panels for and medium systems. In the basic configuration, they have 4 loops with up to 504 addresses. The panels have the option of optional adaptation to 8 loops while maintaining the number of addresses. The largest station FC2060, which will be available a little later, allows you to connect up to 1500 peripheral devices in 12 ring loops.
The control and monitoring devices not only have wide functionality, but also have a very simple interface with clear and precise text explanations on the LCD display in Russian and LED indication on the main station and on the floor control panels.
FCnet Fire Control Station Network
All SINTESO™ control panels communicate via the FCnet network and organize a single «fire control network». It allows you to connect up to 32 control panels of various types, as well as connect to the Ethernet network. The maximum length of the FCnet network can be up to 96 kilometers with the connection of controllers using various types of cables.
A special emergency mode of network modules allows reliable signal transmission even in case of any failures in the software or equipment of one of the stations.
SINTESO™ offers a wide range of detectors that can be used in various fields
The C-LINE family of detectors is competitive and reliable. It is an ideal solution for standard systems. They use the already well-known Siemens development – interactive technology of fire detectors with the AlgoRex control and monitoring device.
The S-LINE series of detectors, which use the innovative ASA tecnology™ technology (advanced signal analysis), ensures the best detection of all types of fires at various sites and protection against false alarms. Today, we can already say that the devices of this series have proven themselves excellent at very complex sites, in particular, at industrial enterprises.
SINTESO™ detectors implement the highest level of protection against any external factors: mechanical penetration into smoke detection chambers, penetration of insects, dust, moisture. Sensors are also protected against electromagnetic radiation, aerosols, vapors, including corrosive ones, vibration and impacts. The devices use high-quality electronics and a patented optical detection system.
The design of the combined detectors is truly unique. A special labyrinth reduces background radiation by absorbing its energy. The signal-to-noise ratio is 1 to 100 million. The weaker the internal radiation, the less sensitive the chamber is to contamination particles. This also reduces the likelihood of false alarms and the number of service periods and extends the service life of the device.
The large detector chamber protects the light path of the sensor part, increasing resistance to the penetration of unwanted particles.
The combined detector uses two optical sensors with two thermal sensors to provide forward and backward light scattering. Regardless of the type of smoke, alarm signals received from the internal forward and backward light scattering optical elements are detected with equal reliability.
Heat detectors of both series – C-LINE and S-LINE – have two sensitive elements. If one of them fails, the second element will report faults and transmit alarm signals.
The operating temperatures of combined detectors are in the range from -25 to 70 oC. Only environmentally friendly materials and environmentally friendly production processes are used in their production.
S-LINE detectors with ASA tecnology™ are used to achieve the highest level of reliability and immunity to false ignition factors. This technology allows for a radical reduction in false alarms and individual adjustment of detectors for any operating conditions. What is this technology based on? In the test lab, devices were tested under standard causes of real fires. Simulation of false fires (tobacco smoke, welding, exhaust gases, etc.) was also carried out. Specialists were able to achieve a clear separation of the signal from a real fire and the impact of false factors. First of all, temperature and smoke sensor data are analyzed, the signal is compared by various parameters: current value, gradients, various fluctuations over time. The indicators are compared with pre-programmed sets of parameters using special algorithms that can be changed from the control panel or with the help of special testers. In real time, these algorithms have the ability to dynamically change and adjust to environmental conditions. As a result, the most precise setting is achieved for optimal and effective detection of fire in a specific location, and the system becomes more sensitive to real fires and more protected from false fire factors. A set of such dynamic parameters allows automatic adjustment of the system's fire detection parameters during its operation.
Evidence of the unrivaled protection of the system against false alarms is the fact that in European countries, for example, many Siemens partners offer their customers a full guarantee of no false alarms on the equipment they install. Installers are ready to compensate for losses that may be caused by a false fire alarm signal at the customer's site.
New addressable digital fire loop FDnet
The FDnet network provides power supply and data transmission for all peripheral devices on the loop, and also connects various input and control modules. Using the FDnet network allows you to combine C-LINE and S-LINE detectors in one system. Moreover, new devices can be added to an existing loop at any time.
All FDnet devices have built-in short-circuit isolators. That is, all devices connected to the loop will operate reliably even in the event of a short circuit in the cable.
New devices — new opportunities!
The SINTESO™ line also includes equipment designed for explosive facilities. It is marked with the letters EX. Moreover, it is possible to flexibly combine devices in a standard and explosion-proof design in one network.
Another advantage is the ability to automatically configure the system. Both at the stage of launching the facility and for the purpose of modernization during operation.
It is possible to program complex control processes. For example, to organize complex Boolean logical operations, as well as to integrate the control of fire extinguishing systems. Using the local XC10 panel, you can control various fire extinguishing systems: gas, aerosol, foam.
The ability to connect stations via Ethernet based on the BACnet protocol allows integrating the fire safety system into the central computer security management system at the facility. In particular, to connect to the MM8000 integration system, which is also part of the Siemens product line. MM8000 can effectively manage and control fire protection equipment, security alarms, video surveillance, access control and management systems.
The SINTESO™ system complies with European and Russian fire safety standards. It is fully adapted for use in our country.
The SINTESO™ fire safety system must be installed by personnel whose qualifications are confirmed by the relevant Siemens certificates. In doing so, all necessary technical requirements must be met. The company's concept provides for responsibility for the product throughout its entire service life and is based on three factors: responsibility for installation, traceability and facility management.
The Siemens partner program provides official partners with full support with all necessary documentation, up-to-date versions of software products, technical training and assistance in implementing any projects.
