MVK.
The history of the MVK brand began in the 90s of the last century, when CCD matrices became available for widespread use. A group of employees of a respected research institute engaged in the development of matrices and related to the defense industry decided to create video cameras adapted to Russian conditions.
The idea to create Russian video cameras for Russia began to develop and took shape as a concept: a video camera should be small, inexpensive, reliable and suitable for use throughout Russia. Naturally, engineers professionally engaged in the development of CCD matrices did not have any difficulties in ensuring that the video camera would provide an excellent image.
The first samples of video cameras under the brand name «MVK» were presented at the MIPS-1994 exhibition.
The abbreviation MVK stands for miniature video camera. In addition to their small size (the smallest at that time for outdoor video cameras), they embodied several other ideas and technologies. One of the most elegant in its simplicity is the idea of heating the camera using the heat generated by the video module itself. This concept made it possible to get rid of an additional heater, use a miniature case and significantly reduce the current consumption of video cameras. MVK video cameras are capable of operating in the temperature range of -50 – +50 °C, consuming only 130 mA at a voltage of 12 V DC. Such climatic capabilities of video cameras have been confirmed by many years of operation in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), where the temperature sometimes drops below -60 °C.The line of MVK video cameras was constantly expanding, new ideas of the developers were implemented. And the line always corresponded to its original principle — inexpensive, miniature and at the same time effective video cameras. The line now includes video cameras with ARD-lens, vandal-proof video cameras (which is especially important for Russia), video cameras with built-in IR-illumination, made in the form of door peepholes. In addition to video cameras for a wide range of buyers, specialized products were also manufactured under the MVK brand: video cameras for installation on boats and helicopters, for the Moscow metro, with water cooling for use in steel foundries, for underwater diving, for equipping a fire tank. In 2008, serial MVK video cameras were installed on the fuselage of the new Russian airliner «Sukhoi SuperJet 100» to control the operation of the chassis and monitor icing of the body during flight tests.
MVK video cameras, thanks to the effective combination of user characteristics and price, have become popular on the Russian market, as well as in neighboring countries. Over 15 years of development, products under the «MVK» brand have repeatedly taken pride of place at various exhibitions and received awards in industry awards.
Currently, the MVK line includes more than 40 models, and not only video cameras are produced under the MVK brand, but also panels for video and audio intercoms, as well as microphones designed for use with digital video recorders.
Currently, up to 100,000 products are produced per year under the MVK brand.
The modern line of MVK video cameras includes outdoor and indoor, color and black-and-white models, as well as cameras with a «day-night» mode, implemented through the use of a mechanical IR filter. Indoor video cameras are available in dome housings and in «standard design» housings. Vandal-proof MVK video cameras are equipped with built-in IR illumination.
The line implements many innovative technologies — for example, this is the proprietary development of RDO (extended range of illumination) for cameras with an ARD lens, thanks to which ARD works together with an electronic shutter and repeatedly increases the upper limit of the working range of illumination.
These include technologies for the combined transmission of video signals and power via a single twisted pair or coaxial cable over a distance of up to 1000 m, and a unique technology for using an external varifocal lens, which makes it easy and quick to change the camera's viewing angle; and technology for controlling video camera settings via a coaxial cable.
A special feature of the MVK color video camera line is that all color video cameras are produced only in high resolution — 550 TVL. Another special feature of the line is that 90% of video cameras are manufactured using high-quality Sony matrices.
In addition, MVK video cameras are the first video cameras on the Russian market that come with a five-year manufacturer's warranty.
The MVK line is constantly evolving. Over the past few years, developments have been underway in the field of IP video surveillance.
MVK is a Russian product that is constantly evolving and embodies the most modern world technologies in the field of video surveillance systems.
