In domestic conditions, water leaks usually occur from damaged pipes, a broken tap and other plumbing equipment. The places where water is likely to appear are: in water supply risers, under the bathtub and shower cabin, under the sink and washing machine, under heating batteries and a boiler, under a water treatment plant and next to the toilet or sink. In offices, which are loaded with utility lines, there are even more places where water can leak. For a long time, water leakage monitoring systems were built on the basis of imported equipment from the following companies: Flair Electronics — Waterguard 1000 sensor; Visonic — MCT-550 sensor; Jablotron — LD-63HS sensor. The lack of domestic analogues, unstable supply of imported equipment and constant price increases by suppliers led to the development of the H2O-Contact threshold water leak detector. The detector has undergone comprehensive testing at various sites, has a technological appearance and is not inferior to imported analogues in detection indicators (sensitivity and immunity to interference). «H2O-Contact» is positioned as an industrial device mainly oriented towards use by installation organizations in offices, production facilities, technological rooms (server rooms, data centers), where unauthorized appearance of water even in small quantities is undesirable, the sensor is also applicable in domestic conditions. The sensor is easy to install and maintain, working with it does not present any difficulties for installers.
The H2O-Contact water leak sensor is designed for use in standard fire and emergency alarm systems, instrumental control, and dispatching. The H2O-Contact sensor developed by our specialists is universal and compatible with most threshold and addressable analog control and monitoring devices of domestic and foreign manufacture. It is successfully integrated with various controllers. In version 1, it is connected as a smoke sensor, parallel to the terminal resistance of the loop. In version 2, the sensor has a normally open contact, which closes when the water level reaches the external contacts of the sensor. The power supply for the H2O-Contact sensor ver. 2 is universal 5-24V DC. The sensors, working as part of a leak control system, will not only inform you of a leak, but also, if necessary, shut off the water supply using solenoid valves or start a drainage pump.
