Modern industrial fencing.
Modern industrial fencing
At industrial facilities, together with checkpoints, fencing makes up a system of security structures — the basis of comprehensive security systems. And then the imagination habitually draws a dull «Soviet» image of the perimeter of restricted facilities: a gray concrete fence, menacing barbed wire… And equally dull production buildings and administrative buildings. An image of production in the 90s. Ineffective, unsafe and ultimately unattractive.
A modern, successful enterprise looks completely different – strict, neat buildings, consistent corporate style. And what about the fencing? There are also new requirements for it: high protective properties must be combined with an aesthetic appearance. After all, this is the “face” of production. The European solution to this problem is visible panel metal fencing. They are durable, convenient for attaching security systems – anti-undermining barriers, security barriers with barbed wire, video surveillance systems. They have an attractive appearance and, ultimately, taking into account the installation costs, are cheaper than conventional concrete fencing.
There is only one «but»: these are visible fences. And this contradicts the stereotype that has been forming for years: «the territory behind the fence should be hidden from prying eyes.» However, the «blind» canvas creates the effect of a forbidden fruit — it causes increased interest in what is behind the perimeter. In addition, such a fence does not allow the security service to conduct visual surveillance of the territory adjacent to the facility. Therefore, the stereotype about the mandatory non-visibility of the fence is slowly but surely collapsing. Another factor of interest in the viewed options is the specificity of the protected objects: gas workers, oil workers and those who store oil products on their territories install such fences without fail.
Therefore, viewed metal panel fences are becoming more and more popular in Russia. The market offers a variety of models.
The most significant characteristics are the following:
1. metal thickness;
2. cell sizes;
3. nature and quality of anti-corrosion coatings;
4. method of attaching the panel to the pole;
5. labor intensity of installation.
The most reliable options are those that exclude the use of bolts, rivets and self-tapping screws during installation — vandal resistance is ensured by a special design of the pole, which does not allow the panel to be removed from it.
