Smartec is one of the first brands to introduce a digital video recorder with 32 video channels to the market! STR-3293 is ideal for creating large and geographically distributed video surveillance systems with increased requirements for recording speed and quality. It digitizes video from 32 analog cameras at a speed of up to 800 fps and a resolution of up to 720 x 576 pixels and can record it on 4 internal HDDs or external STG-ES disk arrays with a total archive size of over 30 TB. Thanks to the presence of 4 independent multi-screen monitor outputs, STR-3293 allows you to organize four independent surveillance posts with the ability to select a particular group of cameras in a multi-window format. Due to the ability to connect up to 32 surveillance cameras, this video recorder allows you to use one video recording device instead of several, thereby reducing the cost of the video surveillance system as a whole.
The STR-3293 allows you to simultaneously view current video, record it, copy it, search, play back the video archive and transmit video over the network. It is capable of recording in MPEG-4 format in real time (800 fps) with a resolution of 2CIF (720 x 288 pixels) or at a speed of 400 fps and a resolution of Full D1 (720 x 576 pixels), in addition, it can record audio from 4 cameras and synchronize audio channels with selected video channels. In addition, each STR-3293 video recorder is equipped with a built-in DVD-RW, a motion detector, 16 alarm inputs, 4 outputs and RS-232/485 ports for controlling PTZ cameras. For remote video monitoring and controlling the device over the network, the STR-3293 is supplied with the Russian-language VMS network management software.
Different criteria for activating a record
In addition to the standard cyclic recording mode, the DVR can perform emergency video recording, recording on a schedule, by motion detection or by alarm from security sensors. Pre- and post-alarm video recording is also supported. For each of the 32 cameras, you can individually configure the recording parameters or use the «Global Recording» setting to apply the same parameters to all channels in the system.
4 independent video surveillance posts
An important advantage of the STR-3293 is the availability of four independent BNC outputs for monitors, on which you can view current or archived video from different groups of channels with the screen divided into 4, 9 or 16 windows. Thanks to this, one video recorder allows you to organize four independent surveillance posts and evenly distribute the load on the operators.
Control of the STR-3293 and PTZ cameras
To control the zoom and the direction of view of the speed dome cameras, the video recorder is equipped with RS-232/485 interfaces and supports the most common telemetry protocols, including Pelco P/D. Through these interfaces, the operator can connect a system keyboard to the STR-3293 and remotely control both the DVR itself and the PTZ cameras. To create particularly large-scale video surveillance systems, these ports can be used to network several STR-1693 and STR-3293 devices.
Increasing the video archive volume over 30 TB and backup
The total volume of the internal archive of the video recorder can reach 4 TB. Further expansion of the disk space of the STR-3293 is possible by connecting Smartec STG-ES arrays, each of which has 4 removable bays for SATA hard drives with a total capacity of over 30 TB. Backup copying of video fragments can be carried out both on hard drives and on DVD/CD disks or flash cards connected via the USB inputs of the video recorder.
Reactions to alarms and the «Panic» mode
The STR-3293 is equipped with a motion detector that can be individually configured for each channel, 16 alarm inputs and 4 outputs. When an alarm signal is received, it can sound a signal, send a notification to a specified e-mail, activate one or more actuators, change the recording quality settings or turn on recording for one or more channels. In addition, the video recorder allows you to activate the emergency recording mode «Panic» with presets for alarm video by pressing one button on the front panel or remote control.
VMS software for remote administration
The STR-3293 comes with VMS network management software, which supports viewing current video with synchronous audio on a PC, searching and playing back archived video, remote configuration and video monitoring of events over the network. With the SmartSearch function of the VMS software, you can perform a retrospective search in the archive for video fragments with movement in a certain area of the image, even if the DVR was recording continuously without using a motion detector.
