Invisible gates. Beam IR barriers of the Activa series for security systems of internal and external perimeters of objects.
Active IR motion sensors from Satel are designed to protect shop windows, museums, window openings and external perimeters of objects from unauthorized intrusion. The Activa series includes 7 models, differing from each other in the number of generated IR beams (from 2 to 8) and the height of the structure (from 52 cm to 210 cm). Regardless of the model, each IR barrier consists of a transmitter and receiver, emits a coded infrared stream and allows you to change its sensitivity and range. In this case, the settings can be done both manually and using specialized software via a computer connected to the device.
Activa IR barriers are designed to detect movement and are an infrared beam system consisting of a transmitter and receiver, the space between which is penetrated by IR beams invisible to the human eye. These optoelectronic devices form barriers consisting of a different number of IR beams and, depending on the settings, are triggered when one or more of them are interrupted.
Modular design
Satel IR barriers have a modular architecture and each model differs in the number of interconnected main boards placed in the corresponding case. In this case, the transmitter's electronic board contains emitting IR LEDs, and the device's response board contains IR receivers. In addition, the receiving part is equipped with a LED for signaling the current state of the detector and an RS-232 port for connecting to a computer.
Perimeter, entrance, entry protection
An important feature of the Activa series is that the IR barriers form a very narrow motion detection zone, which is especially important when protecting perimeters where it is impossible to create an exclusion zone. Due to this, Satel active IR sensors will be a good choice for equipping shop windows and museums, as well as for creating a barrier along the outer perimeter of protected objects to protect against unauthorized intrusion.
In addition, IR barriers are indispensable for protecting apartments where there are pets, and the use of internal volumetric sensors is not possible. They will also be reliable protectors of residents sleeping with open windows.
These IR devices can replace physical security of the facility and will be indispensable when equipping warehouses, for which the amount of payments in the event of an insured event directly depends on the presence of a perimeter system for detecting illegal intrusion.
Wide range
IR barriers of the Activa series differ from each other in the number of beams formed (from 2 to 8) and overall dimensions (from 52 cm to 210 cm). The number of beams for each sensor can be determined by the number in the model name: for example, Activa-2 forms 2 IR beams, etc. In this case, the infrared radiation is coded, so an attempt to replace the emitter is recognized by the receiver as a violation and initiates an alarm signal.
The ability to configure IR sensors by the user
All IR barriers of this series have the ability to adjust sensitivity and automatically block the beam after a certain number of violations. In addition, multi-beam barriers allow you to program the number of beams, the overlap of which for a certain time will cause an alarm signal. If necessary, you can also change the power of the IR flow, which allows you to change the range of the infrared system.
IR barrier settings using specialized software
You can configure Activa devices either manually or using a computer with the Activa program installed. Manual configuration is used only for the basic functions of the IR detector, while the computer program allows you to perform both full configuration and diagnostics of the state. This software is included in the delivery set of the devices and can work in any hardware configuration in the Windows operating environment.
Anti-tamper contact for protection against opening
Both the receiver and transmitter of Activa sensors have a tamper contact that sends an alarm signal to the control panel about an attempt to open or tear the device off the wall. All IR barriers from Satel have durable housings made of aluminum and polyamide, which are resistant to atmospheric influences.
The presence of various brackets allows you to install IR sensors in various positions relative to the wall: perpendicularly, parallel, and also at some distance from the surface.
