Motion Wavelet is a compression algorithm based on the wavelet transform, specially developed for security television tasks and increasing the capabilities of a distributed video surveillance system. Due to the applied interframe compression method, it has the following advantages:
— small average video frame size;
the probability of the image stopping on the screen due to the loss of part of the stream during data transmission is reduced;
— it becomes possible to thin out frames of the video stream for each user separately.
Thanks to the applied method of intra-frame compression:
— high documentary quality of each frame of the video recording is achieved;
— the video image is automatically scaled by resolution depending on the size of the video stream display window.
Reducing the resolution and frame rate allows you to optimize the load on the automated monitoring workstation, taking into account its performance
«Video Gateway» is a software component that allows parallelization, scaling and thinning of video streams. In other words, «Video Gateway» allows receiving a video stream from video recorders and distributing it to several clients in the resolution and with the frame rate that each client requires, eliminating unnecessary load on the network and server caused by processing several duplicate requests.
