IFSEC2011: protection technologies and best practices security techniques from around the world.

The thirty-eighth IFSEC exhibition, which will take place from 16 to 19 May at the National Exhibition Center Birmingham in the UK, is certainly one of the most significant events in the security industry.
This year, IFSEC, as always, brings together the world's leading security experts from a range of industries, attracting the best security experts so that they can share important information and demonstrate ground-breaking technologies.
As security demands increase, new ideas and innovative products are fundamental.
With an emphasis on showcasing cutting-edge technologies, IFSEC 2011 explores the possibility of developing smart, high-tech innovative solutions for the future. The IFSEC conference program is extensive and informative. This year's CCTV and CCTV Science Block will be chaired by ASIS UK Vice Chair of Strategy Mike Hurst, who will look at the latest developments in thermal imaging and closed circuit television integration . TYCO Integrated Systems General Manager of Technology Keeney Revie will talk about IP access control systems and a complete security solution with alarm, access control, intrusion and closed circuit television.
Meetings within the framework of the conference are held in a new format. They involve managers, directors and security specialists. Meetings are organized to encourage collaboration and productive discussion. Each meeting is chaired by a leading industry figure, such as Brian Sims, editor of Security Management Today Online; James Willison is Principal Consultant in the Proposal Team at ASIS UK and Andrew Mason is Head of Business Continuity at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
The conference will also address the problems of preventing crimes of legal entities, cyber terrorism, security in retail sales, and transport security.
IFSEC will showcase a range of new products and provide a unique opportunity to test them in action.
The IFSEC exhibition is divided into 6 blocks: access control; closed circuit television systems; security alarms; integrated security systems/network and IP security systems; public safety and security solutions.
The highlight of IFSEC is the Intelligent Integration Zone, sponsored by Integrated Security Manufacturing Ltd (ISM), a company specializing in graphical security and control tools. The Intelligent Integration Zone promises to be a unique event that will provide the opportunity to observe active integration, — every security professional should visit it. Together with its six partners, ISM will demonstrate how its Genesys™ systems integration software performs active integration of perimeter security, video surveillance, closed-circuit television, access control, alarms and alarm sensors.
The main goal of the “Security in the Future” competition is to find innovative solutions in the field of security. During the event, held in conjunction with the Global Security Challenge, competitors will compete in real time. Participants will be required to present technological innovations that can be used to protect against, eliminate the consequences of, or prevent terrorist attacks and other criminal activities.
Future information security specialists will not be left behind either. Over the course of four days of IFSEC, aspiring professionals will be able to demonstrate their skills by taking part in the Engineers of Tomorrow — UK Apprentice Skills Challenge. During the competition, participants will be required to complete several tasks to test their professional skills.
In addition, with the participation of the British Industrial Safety Association (BSIA), the Security Industry Awards IFSEC 2011 will be presented. This award recognizes people, products and technological advances that have played a significant role in the security industry over the past few years. The winners will be announced at a formal dinner at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole on Monday 16 May 2011.
IFSEC 2011 is co-located with events such as International Firex, The Safety and Health Expo and The Facilities Show. For all visitors who register in advance, visiting the exhibition will be free.
