IFSEC-2010 is the largest event in the global security industry.
The largest international exhibition dedicated to current security issues will be held from May 10 to 13 at the NEC Exhibition Center in Birmingham (UK).
The exhibition will once again not only demonstrate the best achievements of the constantly developing global security industry, but also the largest platform for communication and exchange of experience of installers, manufacturers, distributors, integrators, end users and consultants. The forum in Birmingham is truly one of the most representative in terms of participants and visitors. This is clearly confirmed by the results of last year's exhibition. Let us recall: more than 600 leading companies participated in IFSEC-2009. The exhibition in Birmingham was visited by more than 25,000 security professionals. Thousands of industry specialists and consumers position IFSEC today as an international security industry event that must be attended.
IFSEC-2010 has every chance to consolidate the success of previous exhibitions – participants and visitors can expect an extensive exposition, a meaningful educational program, numerous conferences, seminars, presentations of new products and solutions.
This year, the following main segments of the security industry will be presented in Birmingham:
integrated security systems, IP and network solutions;
access control and management systems;
CCTV;
security alarms;
counter-terrorism and physical security;
fire protection systems.
To imagine the level of the participants, it is enough to name such exhibitors as Axis, Dallmeier, Genie CCTV, HIK Vision, IndigoVision, JVC, Norbain, Panasonic, Samsung, Sony, Tyco. This list can be supplemented with many more well-known brands — almost all the industry leaders will gather at IFSEC this year.
Moreover, IFSEC-2010 will feature pavilions representing the security industries of entire countries. For example, for the first time the USA will demonstrate its achievements in the field of security in its pavilion – it will be located in Hall No. 4. This exposition, organized with the support of the American commercial service, will introduce visitors and participants to many innovative products and services of the US security market. Along with specialists and representatives of companies, consultants from the US Embassy in London will work in the pavilion, who will answer any questions visitors may have.
For the first time, Belgium will be represented in a separate pavilion within the framework of IFSEC. China, France, Italy, South Korea and Taiwan will also demonstrate their achievements.
Spain will also present its pavilion for the first time. It will do so together with the Secartys association, which currently unites more than 1,200 companies operating in such industries as electronics, information technology, telecommunications and solar energy.
The Loss Prevention Certification Commission (LPCB) will take part in IFSEC 2010. This platform will be the venue for seminars and presentations of training schemes and research in the field of physical security. The free educational program will be led by LPCB industry experts, the most authoritative specialists are ready to give comprehensive answers to questions from participants.
The IFSEC conference deserves special mention. It is the most important part of the exhibition's educational program, designed for security professionals. The key objective of the conference is to attract the attention of specialists to such important issues as countering terrorism, protecting national infrastructure, preparing for the 2012 London Summer Olympics, corporate security issues, safe security, and technological development of the industry.
Each day of the conference, various aspects of security will be considered.
The first day will focus on counter-terrorism and national security, while the second day will see participants discuss corporate security in depth. The third day of the conference will look to the future of the industry, with leading experts speaking about the implementation of new and exciting technologies.
The Safety & Health Expo and The Facilities Show will also be taking place at the NEC in Birmingham from 10-13 May 2010.
