IFSEC-2010 is the largest event in the global security industry.
IFSEC-2010 — The largest event in the global security industry.
The largest international exhibition dedicated to current security issues will be held from May 10 to 13 at the NEC exhibition center in Birmingham (UK).
The exhibition will once again become not only a demonstration of the best achievements of the constantly evolving global security industry, but also the largest platform for communication and exchange of experience among installers, manufacturers, distributors, integrators, end users and consultants. The forum in Birmingham is truly one of the most representative in terms of participants and visitors. This is clearly confirmed by the results of last year's exhibition. Let us remind you: more than 600 leading companies participated in IFSEC-2009. The exhibition in Birmingham was attended by more than 25,000 security professionals. IFSEC is now positioned by thousands of industry professionals and consumers as a must-attend event for the international security industry.
IFSEC-2010 has every chance to consolidate the successes of previous exhibitions – participants and visitors will enjoy an extensive exposition, a meaningful educational program, numerous conferences, seminars, presentations of new products and solutions.
The following main segments of the security industry will be represented in Birmingham this year:
integrated security systems, IP and network solutions;
access control and management systems;
CCTV;
security alarm;
counter-terrorism and physical security;
fire protection systems.
To imagine the level of participants, it is enough to name such exhibitors as Axis, Dallmeier, Genie CCTV, HIK Vision, IndigoVision, JVC, Norbain, Panasonic, Samsung, Sony, Tyco. This list can be supplemented with many more well-known brands – almost all industry leaders will gather at IFSEC this year.
Moreover, at IFSEC-2010 there will be pavilions representing the security sectors of entire countries. For example, for the first time, the United States will showcase its security advancements in its pavilion, located in Hall 4. Organized with the support of American Commercial Services, this exhibition will introduce visitors and exhibitors to a variety of innovative products and services in the US security market. Consultants from the US Embassy in London will work together with specialists and company representatives in the pavilion to answer any questions from visitors.
For the first time, Belgium will be represented at IFSEC as a separate pavilion. China, France, Italy, South Korea and Taiwan will also demonstrate their achievements.
Spain will also present its pavilion for the first time. It will do this together with the Secartys association, which currently unites more than 1,200 companies operating in industries such as electronics, information technology, telecommunications and solar energy.
The Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) will participate in IFSEC 2010. The site will be a venue for seminars and presentations of training schemes and research in the field of physical security. The free educational program will be led by LPCB industry experts, with the most respected specialists ready to provide comprehensive answers to participants' questions.
Special mention should be made about the IFSEC conference. This is the most important part of the exhibition's educational program, aimed at security professionals. The key objective of the conference is to attract the attention of specialists to such important issues as countering terrorism, protecting national infrastructure, preparing for the London 2012 Summer Olympics, corporate security issues, safe security and technological development of the industry.
Each day the conference will cover different aspects of security.
The first day will be devoted to issues of countering terrorism and national security. In the second, participants will discuss corporate security issues in detail. The third day of the conference is a look into the future of the industry, leading experts will talk about the introduction of new promising technologies.
The NEC Birmingham will also host the Safety & exhibitions from 10-13 May 2010. Health Expo and The Facilities Show.
