HI-TECH HOUSE– 2006.
The largest exhibition of intelligent technologies and equipment for equipping and operating buildings and residential buildings in Russia and the CIS celebrated its fifth anniversary this year.
During this time, the exhibition has won serious international recognition and has become one of the most authoritative events in the intelligent technologies market.

It is pleasant to note that the number of foreign participants in Hi-Tech House is growing every year.
This year, 27 of the world's largest manufacturers have already presented their innovative solutions to the attention of specialists.
All leading building automation technologies (Konnex EIB, LonWorks, BACNet) were demonstrated at the stands of international associations and collective expositions of foreign manufacturers.
New Products
The stands of companies offering a wide range of lighting systems, as well as professional equipment and complex audiovisual systems, were for the first time allocated to separate expositions and were very popular with the exhibition guests.
The attention of the exhibition visitors was attracted by the event organized by the association for building automation and engineering equipment control systems BIG RU – a demonstration of the operation of the multi-vendor BACnet system – Interoperability Show, which includes equipment from different manufacturers – Sauter, Siemens, Kieback&Peter, Johnson Controls, RTSoft, Automated Logic.
For those who came to the exhibition to get acquainted with automation systems for the private sector (apartments, cottages), the thematic zone «Comfort and multimedia systems» was of interest.
There are more and more new solutions in this area on the market.
In general, the exhibits of the participants clearly demonstrated that there are many solutions on the market now and the customer has a lot to choose from.
Moreover, at the moment, the industry has already formed standards that construction companies should begin to focus on in the near future, and this will be the key to a reasonable price for a «smart home».
Key events of the exhibition
Every year the exhibition grows not only in the number of participants, but also in the quality of the events held within its framework. Traditionally, the organizers hold the International Forum, which has already won great attention and trust of specialists.
This year the forum was held on the eve of the exhibition, on November 8, 2006, at the Marriott Aurora Hotel.
About 200 forum participants, including representatives of large investors, management companies, builders, architects, building designers, integrators, and manufacturers of intelligent engineering systems, had the opportunity to discuss the most pressing problems of the building automation market in Russia and consider ways to solve them.
Many of the speakers emphasized one of the most important tasks for all market participants – the popularization of intelligent technologies in our country, and the International Forum Hi-Tech House became another serious step in this direction.
The exhibition included seminars and trainings to improve the professional training of technical specialists, organized with the support of international associations: LonMark Internationa, BIG-RU (Association for Building Automation and Engineering Equipment Control Systems Based on the BACnet Protocol).
The Professional Association of Manufacturers and Installers of Custom Electronics CEDIA (Custom Electronics Design & Installation Association) offered all visitors to the Hi-Tech House exhibition to take a free introductory course CEDIA — «How to start a business in the field of home installations of integrated electronics systems».
After its completion, all those wishing had the opportunity to sign up for the full program of training courses, prepared specifically at the request of the participants, which will be held on April 10-11, 2007 in the «Iris Congress Hotel», on the eve of the HDI SHOW 2007 exhibition.
The guests were especially interested in the already traditional events of the exhibition.
The spectacular video projection show provided a rare opportunity to compare the technical characteristics of video projectors, demonstrating their quality and allowing you to choose the most suitable one for your home or office. The Open Review of Technical Solutions allowed the visitors to get acquainted with the latest market innovations in the most comprehensive way and make the right choice with the best price/quality ratio.
In addition, each visitor received an exclusive catalog «Gallery of Hi-Tech House Projects — 2006» with a description of the implemented projects of «intelligent buildings» and «smart homes».
Results
Summing up the results of the exhibition, we can confidently say that the market of intelligent technologies in Russia is reaching a high level of development.
The Hi-Tech House exhibition plays an important role in popularizing this topic in Russia, and helps establish business contacts with both foreign manufacturers and representatives of regional companies.
