The most common requirement for GSM alarms is the ability to control a heating system or boiler.

To implement such control (for example, consider the Armada GSM alarm), an external temperature sensor is used, which is located in the room in which the temperature needs to be monitored.

If the boiler needs to be controlled in a building with several rooms, where the temperature in each room is different, then it is recommended to install it in the room with the lowest temperature.

The upper and lower temperature limits are set on the GSM alarm.

The temperature sensor constantly measures and transmits the temperature value to the alarm board.

When the received room temperature value drops below the set lower limit, the relay output on the GSM alarm board closes and the heating boiler (one or more radiators) is turned on.

After turning on the heating system, the room temperature increases.

When the required temperature is reached (the set upper limit of the temperature mode), the relay output opens and switches off the heating system.

There is another option for controlling the heating system.

Let's say that for the winter period you set the interval from 3 C (lower limit) to 10 C (upper limit).

Such limits allow maintaining a positive temperature in the house (this preserves the house and extends its service life) and saving on electricity or gas (since heating occurs not to 25?27 C, but to 10 C).

But if you want to come, then the temperature of 10 C will not be comfortable for you, and you will have to manually turn on the heating system and wait until the room warms up.

To avoid such inconveniences, remote control of external devices (in this case, the boiler) via SMS is used.

This system works quite simply, you send an SMS command to the GSM alarm number within a certain time (say, 30 minutes), which activates a certain output (the output number is specified in the SMS command), in our case, the output to which the heating system is connected is activated.

The GSM alarm receives the SMS command and closes the relay output and turns on the boiler.

To turn off the heating system, you need to send another SMS command to the alarm number.

Thus, you can regulate the boiler operating time and, accordingly, the room temperature yourself.

Using remote control via SMS commands, you can preheat the house to the desired temperature (25?27 C) before your arrival.

Many heating boilers now have special outputs to which a signal is sent when a malfunction occurs.

Using these outputs and the Armada GSM alarm, you can receive timely notifications when such malfunctions occur and even automatically turn off the boiler.

If there are no such special outputs, there is probably some indication of a malfunction.

Using this indication, you can also connect the boiler to the Armada GSM alarm, monitor the operation of the boiler and turn it off in a timely manner in case of malfunctions.

Protection by the identification code allows you to control the GSM alarm not just by one person (the owner), but by a whole group of trusted persons.

To control, you need to know the security code.

Thus, even if your phone is dead or is far away from you, you can start the heating or disarm the alarm.

The ability to remotely regulate the temperature in the house brings significant savings, especially considering the periodic rise in electricity prices.

The advantage of the Armada GSM alarm is that it can be connected to almost any boiler or heating system.

Even if the boiler does not support control of external devices, a relay unit is built into the power supply circuit, and control is carried out by supplying and disconnecting power to the boiler itself.

For some external devices (sufficiently powerful boilers or in the case of using a relay unit), relay units of the required power are connected to the Armada GSM alarm.

Thus, it is possible to control almost any external devices regardless of their power.

Using the Armada GSM alarm allows you to implement not only security and fire alarms, but also use it as a «smart home» system.

Considering the cost of the GSM alarm and its flexible capabilities, the Armada GSM alarm is the most efficient and economical complex.
