Megapixel network video cameras eVidence.
In early 2009, STA began supplying eVidence IP video surveillance systems to the Russian market. The equipment has gained wide popularity among customers in Russia, the CIS and the Baltics due to its high quality, reliability and advanced technical solutions. Over the past time, the range of equipment offered has increased significantly, and the purpose of this article is to help understand the range of video cameras offered, highlight their advantages and specifics of application.
BODY-MOUNTED VIDEO CAMERAS
Currently, the line of eVidence body-mounted cameras is represented by one- and two-megapixel models.
Apix-Box/M1– megapixel (1280 x 720) HDTV camera, made on Sony CCD matrix, which provides excellent sensitivity. WDR (wide dynamic range) technology allows to obtain balanced image of both dark and light areas even in high-contrast lighting.
The camera is equipped with Micro SD slot and analog BNC-output. The combination of megapixel resolution, high sensitivity and multi-option power supply (12 V, 24 V or PoE) allow to call Apix-Box/M1the most versatile camera in the eVidence range. It can be recommended for use in any situation, especially in projects where the lighting level is extremely low or unknown, and the power supply parameters are not selected or are designed for 24 V AC.
Apix-Box/M2produces a video stream of 1920 x 1080 at a speed of 25 frames/sec, which is 2.8 times higher than that of the megapixel Box/M1. Application of the camera – objects with high requirements for image detail and frame rate. For example, banks, retail outlets, transport infrastructure facilities (train stations, airports), etc. Lower sensitivity compared to Apix-Box/M1 imposes restrictions on the use of the camera at objects with poor lighting. Power supply – 12 V or PoE.
Apix-Box/M2Liteis an economical version of the Apix-Box/M2 camera and features twice as few transmitted frames when recording at a resolution of 1920 x 1080 (12.5 fps). The camera is used in projects where the desire to use the high quality of Apix-Box/M2 video collides with limited budgets.
All three presented models of Apix-Box box cameras have bidirectional audio signal transmission over the network and a built-in motion detector.
DOME VIDEO CAMERAS
Miniature megapixel camera Apix-MiniDome/M1.Compact dimensions and modern design, PoE power supply, wide-angle lens and built-in microphone allow us to recommend the camera for inexpensive IP systems with a large number of video surveillance points, where the installation speed and the total final cost of the project come first. Choosing Apix-MiniDome/M1. allows you to exclude brackets, lenses, power supplies and microphones from the estimate.
Typical scope of application of the Apix-MiniDome/M1. camera– premises with low ceilings, shops, shopping areas, offices, etc. It is worth noting, however, that since the lens of this model has a fixed focal length, this requires a more careful approach from the designer to the choice of camera installation locations.
eVidence Apix-Dome/M2 and Apix-Dome/M2 LED dome cameras are two-megapixel (1600 x 1200) at 12.5 fps. Advantages of the cameras: built-in 2.7–9 mm varifocal lens, mechanical IR filter, BNC analog output, Micro SD slot, waterproof (IP-66) housing, combined 12 VDC/PoE power supply.
Thanks to the elegant design of the Apix-Dome series cameras, they will fit into any interior, and the varifocal lens will help to obtain a high-quality two-megapixel HDTV image in a wide range of viewing angles. The use of infrared illumination in Apix-Dome/M2 LED makes it possible to monitor objects in absolute darkness. The cameras can be recommended for installation in any premises, including those with high humidity, where it is necessary to obtain high-quality images and not disturb the interior design.
The Apix-VDome series of vandal-proof video cameras is a complete analogue of the Apix-Box/M1 box camera in its main characteristics. The model has a dome design (IP66) and is equipped with a 3.3–12 mm varifocal lens. The all-weather version of Apix-VDome/M1 Ext is equipped with a built-in heater, which guarantees stable operation at temperatures down to -40 °C.
Recommended use — public places, industrial and restricted areas, transport infrastructure, etc.
VIDEO CAMERAS WITH A BUILT-IN ZOOM
Apix-10ZBox/M1 combines the advantages of the Apix-Box/M1 body camera and a built-in autofocus zoom lens with 10x zoom.
PAN-TILTING VIDEO CAMERAS
PTZ cameras of the SpeedDome series are designed for the most critical security lines. 12x and 36x lenses are capable of instantly displaying an object of interest, down to the smallest details. Advantages of the series: compression formats H.264, MPEG-4, M-JPEG, mechanical IR filter, 360° view and rotation speed up to 300°/sec., 256 presets, 8 tours, DNR (digital noise reduction system), WDR (wide dynamic range). Sensitive Sony CCD matrix is capable of providing high quality video in any lighting. Cameras are available in both regular and outdoor (EXT) versions. Apix-12ZDomeis equipped with a 12x autofocus lens, and Apix-36ZDome – 36x.
The scope of application of IP cameras of the SpeedDome series is extremely wide – these are industrial and restricted areas, parking lots, airports and railway stations, shopping or exhibition centers, warehouse complexes, sports and educational institutions, strategic facilities, etc.
The eVidence APIX line is a constantly expanding series of professional network video cameras based on the most advanced world technologies. Most of the leading Russian developers of software for IP systems have already tested Apix cameras and, in addition to high technical characteristics, noted the support of the open network video interface (ONVIF), which allows integration into various software products. Taking into account the above, as well as due to very favorable prices, we can safely recommend eVidence HDTV video cameras as a basis for building any IP security television system.
