“NITs FORS” is one of the leading developers of equipment and software for access control systems and integrated security systems. Elsys ACS, Bastion hardware and software complex and VideoNova computer video surveillance system are successfully used at thousands of small and large facilities.
Elsys ACS is one of the most powerful and advanced ACSs on the market, the first models of which were developed over 10 years ago. During this time, a wealth of operating experience has been accumulated – today, the number of facilities equipped with Elsys ACS amounts to several thousand – from small offices to large factories with up to 80,000 employees and up to 260 controllers.
The hardware basis of the system is Elsys-MB controllers, available in the following versions: Pro, Standard and Light (connection of 2 readers), Pro4 (4 readers). The availability of these versions, as well as memory expansion modules of various capacities, allows optimizing the technical and economic characteristics of the system for an object of any scale. All of the listed versions are suitable for creating systems of any complexity (up to 65 thousand users, up to 61 thousand events per controller).
Elsys-MB controllers provide servicing of doors with one- or two-way access control, turnstiles, gateways, gates and barriers. Access point modes (“regular opening”, “blocking”, “emergency opening”, “situational access restriction”) can be controlled both from the ACS software and by hardware, in the form of reactions to internal or external events.
A functionally simplified controller model (Elsys-MB-SM) is also available, which is fully compatible with older models via the exchange protocol. Elsys-MB-SM can be used both to create economy-class ACS and to service access points with low intensity of passages as part of large systems.
Elsys-MB controllers are networked via a two-wire RS-485 interface or connected directly to the Ethernet network via IP modules. Communication lines can be connected to ACS equipment servers or to an Ethernet computer network via Elsys-MB-Net network controllers. The total number of controllers in the system can reach 16128!
Original technical and software solutions adopted in Elsys controllers ensured almost instant search of the presented card in memory (the decision-making time on access provision does not exceed 0.09 sec.), which, combined with the high speed of information exchange (up to 115200 bit/sec), allows servicing significant flows of employees and visitors of large enterprises during peak loads.
The Elsys ACS has a hardware-implemented (independent of the operability of the server computer) anti-passback function, which ensures detection and suppression of attempts to enter using someone else's card, handed over by the employee who has entered.
In addition to access control functions, Elsys-MB controllers can also perform the functions of a security alarm control panel. Security modes can be controlled using a keyboard, an access card or from the operator's computer – an ideal solution for organizing a second line of security with output to the panic button.
