Samsung Techwin digital video recorders.
Samsung Techwin produces the widest and most complete line of digital video recorders for creating professional video surveillance systems.
The Samsung Techwin SVR series recorders range includes 12 devices that can record 4 (SVR-450, SVR-480), 9 (SVR-940, SVR-945, SVR-960(C)), 16 (SVR-1645, SVR-1660(C), SVR-1680(C) or 32 (SVR-3200) TV cameras simultaneously with sound from microphones or other audio sources.
The Samsung Techwin SVR series recorders use the following technologies.
Linux Embedded Operating System
All SVR series models operate under Linux Embedded OS and provide high reliability of the entire system.
Diagnostic and notification system
Each SVR series recorder has a diagnostic and notification system. A recording disk failure, a disk full, a cooling system fan failure, a password entry error — all this is monitored by the system. In the event of an abnormal situation, error data is transmitted via the IP network to a remote operator or system administrator.
Real-time recording
SVR series recorders are capable of providing high-quality image recording with a resolution of over 600 TVL in color. The recording speed at a resolution of 704 x 576 px can be 25 frames for each channel (models SVR-480, SVR-1680). The 32-channel SVR-3200 video recorder is capable of recording with characteristics of 704 x 288 px at 25 images/sec for each channel.
High-quality display
SVR series recorders have several monitor outputs for connecting analog and digital devices. The VGA output of the recorder supports a resolution of up to 1280 x 1024 and provides excellent image display on LCD monitors.
MPEG-4 and JPEG compression
SVR series recorders use two compression algorithms simultaneously – MPEG4 and M-JPEG. Recording is done in MPEG4 format, but image transmission over the network can be done in both algorithms. M-JPEG is most relevant for channels with low bandwidth.
Large archive and support for e-SATA drives
All SVR series recorders support 2 TB hard drives. The flagship models SVR-1680 and SVR-3200 have a built-in disk array of up to 8 TB. All devices support the e-SATA interface, which provides cost-effective and reliable connection of drives with RAID support of various levels. The recorders provide manual and automatic archiving to a remote disk, copying to USB and DVD-R.
Graphical menu for searching in the archive
To search in the archive, the SVR series devices have a convenient graphical menu with display of priority records and the ability to mark certain recording intervals. Search is possible not only by video detector, triggering of external sensors, time, marks, but also by thumbnails — the first frames of various time intervals.
Control with a specialized keyboard
SVR series recorders can be combined into a system of devices with the ability to control from several keyboards. The devices are combined using a twisted pair via the RS-485 interface. A keyboard with a joystick SCC-3100A is used for control. In total, the system can have up to 255 devices.
Control of PTZ devices
SVR series recorders support a large number of PTZ cameras from different manufacturers – more than 20 protocols. Control can be carried out via RS-485 (twisted pair) and Coaxitron (coaxial cable). Control is possible using a mouse-type manipulator, an external specialized keyboard or a built-in keyboard. PTZ camera presets can be linked to certain events and processed automatically.
Access via IP network
The SVR series recorders can be combined using an IP network and free SNM-128S software. Remote setup, control, viewing of live and recorded images, and joint operation of recorders with Samsung Techwin IP cameras in one system are possible. Large distributed systems can be created using graphic plans of objects supported by the SNM-128S software.
Samsung DDNS Service
Taking into account the specifics of Russian IP Internet access channels, when a DSL modem with a dynamically changing IP address is used, Samsung Techwin provides the user with its own DDNS (dynamic domain name system) service, which allows access to SVR series recorders without allocating a static address to them.
Warranty – 3 years
All SVR series recorders are covered by a three-year Samsung Techwin warranty. However, the reliability of these devices does not allow you to use it.
