| DAIKIN Corporation and Energy Master, a leading provider of clean and safe solutions to the Irish market, recently jointly launched Ireland's first inverter heat pump, the DAIKIN Altherma system.
Over the last few months, the Altherma system has been used in a number of successful projects – both in the domestic and commercial sector. The Altherma heat pump demonstrates optimal performance for new and renovated buildings. In addition, according to the BER (Building Energy Rating) Directive, the Altherma system makes a significant contribution to improving the energy rating of the building in terms of thermal insulation, electrical wiring, heating system.
An Altherma demonstration rig was recently installed in the Heating Engineering Lab at Dublin Institute of Technology. The Altherma system, complete with solar panel connection, now provides engineers, plumbers and consultants with an excellent opportunity to learn about the operating principle and other aspects of the Altherma heat pump.
In total, Energy Master has completed numerous projects in Ireland using Altherma heat pumps in 2008:
A swimming pool in Afboy, County Myth;
Bungalow cottages in Wicklow, County Wicklow;
houses in Ballyvary, County Mayo, Rafea, Killarney and Miltoun, County Cary, and a house in Rockchapel, County Cork;
Altherma heat pump demonstration site at the Dublin Institute of Technology.
In order to improve the quality of the services provided for the installation of the Altherma system, Energy Master pays special attention to the training of specialists. The last extended training course was held in the summer of 2008, at the Renewable Training Centre of the Irish company Energy Master in the town of Listowel, County Kerry.
