Cisco and ARMO-Systems have signed a partnership agreement to supply IP video surveillance solutions.
Cisco and ARMO-Systems have announced the signing of a partnership agreement, under which ARMO-Systems will supply IP devices and solutions from the manufacturer to the Russian market for creating IP video surveillance systems of any scale.
As a leading global leader in the market of solutions for local, global networks and IP telephony, in 2008 Cisco entered the IP video surveillance market and releases new models of IP devices every month, with the use of which it is possible to create video systems for small, medium, large and geographically distributed objects.
Under the agreement, ARMO-Systems will supply customers with solutions based on wired and wireless IP cameras, routers, video recorders, video servers and Cisco brand software, as well as provide maintenance, consulting services and training of specialists.
Today's IP technologies and Cisco devices for IP video surveillance make it possible to create fully functional video systems that combine in an integrated architecture equipment for video recording, broadcasting digital video, audio and information data over a network, software for managing IP devices, recording, storing and playing video data, as well as for analyzing video materials.
The main advantages of Cisco solutions include the ability to build a comprehensive IP video surveillance system using a minimum number of devices, lower cost of ownership, fast return on investment, a high degree of data and system protection, and the ability of the software to work with IP equipment from most well-known manufacturers.
The Cisco IP video surveillance camera line includes color wired and wireless models of standard and high resolution, which form a high-quality video image with illumination up to 0.4 lux.
Wired day-night IP cameras with VGA resolution broadcast video in MPEG-4 format, support Power-over-Ethernet technology, and when installed in a thermal housing, they can operate in outdoor conditions.
Cisco wireless models have the same characteristics and use the 802.11b/g/n wireless data transmission standard.
IP cameras with HD resolution (up to 1920×1080 pixels) are also available, which use the H.264 compression algorithm and transmit video at a speed of 30 fps.
As a central element of an IP video surveillance system using analog cameras, you can choose specialized Cisco ISR (Integrated Service Router) 2800 and 3800 series routers, which will act as network routers, and AVG (Analog Video Gateway) modules, which are 16-port analog video servers with support for the H.264 compression format and remote control of PTZ camera functions, can be installed in their free slots.
If necessary, Cisco VMSS (Video Management and Storage System) modules can be installed in the same ISR slots, which will allow you to manage the recording process and video archive.
Depending on the model, the ISR can act as a network router and the core of an IP video surveillance system, with all the functions for receiving video from analog or IP cameras, viewing video in real time, recording it and storing it on network storage.
Cisco's Video Surveillance Manager IP video surveillance management software has a modular structure, Russian-language interfaces, and supports functions for managing, recording, and searching video and audio information in an archive, as well as web monitoring.
The software includes the Video Surveillance Media Server module for managing all video sources in the system, the Video Surveillance Operations Manager module for remote configuration of equipment and integration into system applications, and the Virtual Matrix module with virtual matrix switch functions.
All Cisco software modules have an open architecture and are compatible with IP equipment from most well-known manufacturers.
In addition, Video Surveillance Manager provides authorized access to the video archive and current video for both local and remote users, and integrates with other necessary applications of the facility's security system.
For storing large amounts of video data on the network, Cisco experts recommend using Video Surveillance Storage Systems, which are compact network storage systems with a capacity of up to 42 TB and can be mounted in a 19-inch rack or used in a desktop version.
These storages are most effective as part of a multi-channel IP video surveillance system, since they are capable of storing large volumes of digital video information from video surveillance cameras, protecting it from unauthorized access and preventing the loss of important corporate data.
The results of testing all models of IP cameras, video servers, specialized routers and Cisco software, which were obtained by APMO-System specialists during equipment testing, confirmed all technical characteristics and functionality of the devices and software declared by the manufacturer.
At the same time, all Cisco IP equipment has the necessary Russian certificates, a one-year supplier warranty, Russified documentation, a good price-quality ratio and is competitive on the Russian market.
The Cisco IP device line will be updated monthly.
The company's production plans for the first half of 2009 include megapixel IP cameras, high-speed PTZ cameras, dome-type models and vandal-proof models.
New versions of the software will be released quarterly, which is supplied free of charge with Cisco IP cameras and video servers, and optional licenses can be purchased for use in video surveillance systems of IP devices from other manufacturers.
