RS jammer cell phone blocker
Potentially, a cell phone is a ready-made eavesdropping device that transmits information via a cellular system traffic channel. Special technical means are also produced that use the transmission of information in a GSM standard traffic channel. These eavesdropping devices use a standard SIM card and can be initiated by a simple phone call from anywhere in the world. They can be equipped with special antennas, remote microphones, and can be easily camouflaged as various objects. Below is a brief description of three models of such devices that were presented at the Milipol-99 exhibition (information from the “Special Equipment” magazine, No. 1, 2000).
Model 1 is designed to transmit speech from a monitored room to a receiving point (can be a regular phone with a registration system) via GSM networks. To switch from standby mode to working mode, simply call the number assigned to this device. To stop working, hang up the receiver. Model 1 is suitable for use both indoors and in cars. In the second case, it is possible to track the movements of an object.
Model 2 is an improved version of Model 1. It can automatically call the reception point when an acoustic signal appears in the room or when the car starts moving. It is possible to control a number of functions of the device using a DTMF signal.
Model 3 is a modified GSM cell phone and is essentially a portable radio transmitter. It can be activated either from a remote phone or directly by its owner. When transmitting acoustic information to an outside observer, the phone is in standby mode. All devices have approximately the same characteristics.
In addition, it may be undesirable to use a cell phone inside your office, in conference rooms and meeting rooms, in law enforcement offices and buildings. The use of a cell phone is prohibited inside many government agencies and sensitive enterprises that work with state secrets. Finally, maintaining silence is necessary in museums, concert halls, churches and classrooms.
In this regard, the issue of suppressing the operation of a cell phone in a certain area becomes relevant. This function is performed by so-called cell phone blockers, or jammers, which have recently appeared on the international security market.
RS jammer is an intelligent cell phone blocker. The device detects the presence of a working or simply switched on phone within a radius of 15 to 30 meters and, if the subscriber attempts to access the network (outgoing call), it emits a suppression signal at the right moment for a short period of time, with a power significantly lower than the power emitted by the phone itself. Only the base station control channel intended for the subscriber within the device's coverage area is blocked. The area size and its direction also depend on the antennas used. Incoming calls are blocked in a similar way, and the subscriber is not called either (the call is not heard). After that, the cell phone goes into sleepmode, remaining in service in the cellular network. The basic version is designed and manufactured for the GSM900/1800 standard. Additional options are being developed for the NMT-450, AMPS/DAMPS, CDMA standards. Versions — desktop, wall-mounted, in a case with autonomous power supply.
RS jammer differs from many similar devices in that it does not interfere with the operation of the cellular network and other equipment, affects only the telephone set inside the zone and its operation is not recorded by standard radio surveillance equipment. General control of the jammer is carried out by the controller. The system is completely autonomous, but can also be controlled from a computer. The range depends on the power of the blocking transmitter. In the proposed products, the power is 1.5 or 4 W (in pulse), respectively.
Estimated cost — 2500USD.
