CCTV: 5 Mpx AXIS P1347 cameras for HDTV-quality video recording indoors and outdoors.
The P1347/P1347-E network cameras from AXIS Communications feature a 5-megapixel CMOS sensor, ARTREC-3 processor and a switchable IR filter, which enable video recording around the clock with maximum image detail.
The P1347 is designed for indoor use, while the P1347-E with a thermal housing and IP66 is designed for use in temperatures ranging from -40°C to 50°C.
Both cameras come with a 3.5-10mm zoom lens with P-Iris, support PC focus, and digital PTZ functions.
They are capable of transmitting multi-stream video in H.264 and M-JPEG formats over the network with a resolution of 5 MPx and a frame rate of 12 or HDTV 1080p at 30 fps. AXIS P1347 can be configured via a web browser or AXIS Camera Station, Milestone XProtect and other software, receive power over Ethernet, are equipped with a microphone, alarm input/output, 64 MB buffer and a slot for SD/SDHC cards.
The P1347 has a standard design and is part of the P13 series, but its resolution is superior to other devices.
Both models are similar in technical specifications, except that the P1347-E is equipped with an IP66-rated housing and can operate in a wide temperature range.
These cameras are capable of producing high-quality HDTV video images, provide transmission of the smallest details of the scene and have a precise control function of the P-Iris iris to increase the sharpness of the video.
Each model supports two-way audio transmission, security functions and will be effective as part of IP video surveillance systems for banks, airports, train stations and other facilities.
Two-stream video with Multi-view mode to create «virtual cameras»
The P1347/P1347-E network cameras use 2 video codecs – cost-effective H.264 and high-quality but resource-intensive Motion JPEG, and also support digital pan, tilt and zoom functions of the video image.
Moreover, these cameras have a Multi-view mode, in which they can simultaneously transmit video streams over the network with an enlarged part of the image and a reduced image of the general view. Thus, on the basis of one P1347 camera, used in the video surveillance system, up to 8 «virtual cameras» with adjustable parameters can be created.
Broadcasting detailed video at a frequency of up to 30 fps
The P1347 differs from other cameras of the P13 series by using a 1/2.5″ megapixel CMOS sensor with progressive scan and WDR, as well as minimum illumination indicators of 0.5 and 0.08 lux, which make shooting possible in day and night modes.
These cameras are capable of providing wide coverage of the video surveillance zone and high image detail. At a resolution of 2560 x 1920 pixels (5 MPx), the frame rate of the camera will be 12 fps, and at 1920 x 1080 pixels (HDTV 1080p), the frequency reaches 30 fps.
Functions for adjusting the focus and controlling the iris diaphragm P-Iris
During installation of AXIS P1347/-E, the installer can use the camera’s pixel counter to check that the video resolution is appropriate for the task at hand, and Focus assistant to ensure that the image is in focus.
Both P1347 and P1347-E feature a varifocal lens with a focal length of 3.5–10 mm and advanced P-Iris control.
The megapixel lens, combined with AXIS software, automatically and precisely adjusts the iris opening in all lighting conditions, ensuring optimal depth of field in images.
AXIS P1347/-E Video and Management Software
The cameras' web server allows them to be configured via a web browser interface, but to manage a video system using the P1347 and up to 50 other AXIS models on one server, you can use AXIS Camera Station v.3.0 with a Russian interface and all the functions for viewing, recording and analyzing video.
At the same time, full-featured control of a video surveillance system, which includes any AXIS and/or other manufacturers' cameras, is possible using Milestone's XProtect software, which supports over 890 models of network devices from more than 82 brands and allows you to create security video systems of any scale and complexity.
Security functions and camera responses to alarms
In addition to video and audio motion detectors, the P1347/-E cameras have an alarm input for connecting an external security sensor and an output for connecting an actuator, as well as a system for actively alerting the operator about attempts to damage or break into the camera, cover its lens, etc.
Both models provide the ability to notify about alarms via e-mail, HTTP, TCP, upload data to an FTP server, and record video fragments in a 64 MB video buffer and/or on removable SD/SDHC memory cards.
Two power options for AXIS P1347 and simplified camera installation
Due to the fact that both cameras support IEEE 802.3af Class 3 Power over Ethernet technology, they can receive power via free wires of the twisted pair cable that transmits the video signal.
