AXIS Q1910 thermal IP cameras will “see” even a black cat in a dark room.
The Q1910 Series thermal network cameras are the first AXIS Communications devices to combine the functionality of IP cameras with the advantages of infrared cameras. They can operate indoors or outdoors in absolute darkness, detecting objects at any time of day and in any weather. AXIS Q1910 uses an uncooled microbolometer sensor with a resolution of 160 x 128 pixels, is equipped with a 13 mm lens, an audio channel and can transmit video in H.264/M-JPEG with a resolution of up to D1 (720×576) at 8.33 fps. They have audio and video motion detectors, a 32 MB video buffer, a slot for SD memory cards, support PoE and control via AXIS, Milestone and other software.
The Q1910 series IP cameras are able to “see” objects in conditions unacceptable for traditional CCTV models, including “day/night”: for example, the AXIS Q1910-E outdoor thermal imaging camera can recognize a heat-emitting object through a mesh fence, smoke or dust, and transmit informative video in conditions such as fog, rain, bright sunlight or floodlights.
The ability to “see” a car at night 550 meters away
The cameras use an uncooled microbolometer with a temperature sensitivity of less than 100 mK as a sensitive element. It provides a detection range of at least 200 m for people and 550 m for vehicles. Unlike conventional IP cameras, even with a day/night function, AXIS Q1910 do not require light sources, IR illuminators or additional energy costs. They cannot be “blinded”, for example, by bright oncoming headlights, and you cannot hide from them in foliage or against a dark background.
Wide range of image quality settings
AXIS Q1910 operates in the spectral range invisible to the human eye, forms an image due to the difference in temperature between the object and the environment, and allows you to display a black-and-white or color image on the monitor. The color selection is done using the palette on the «live» view page. Along with this, they support various image quality settings, including brightness adjustment, gain level, exposure control, etc.
Multi-stream video streaming in H.264 and M-JPEG with resolution up to D1
Like all new AXIS IP camera models released in 2010, these thermal imaging cameras use the latest AXIS ARTREC-3 processor and support the advanced H.264 video compression standard and traditional M-JPEG. At the same time, they can simultaneously transmit up to 5 independent video streams over the network with a maximum frame rate of 8.33 fps and parameter settings for each. The resolution of the camera's sensitive element is 160×128 pixels, but the image can be scaled to D1 or to standard VGA resolution.
Customizable detectors, alarm response algorithms and video data analysis
All AXIS thermal cameras feature audio and video motion detection and a tamper/break-in alarm. In addition, Q1910/-E have alarm inputs and outputs for external security sensors/actuators. They can notify the operator of an event via e-mail, upload video fragments to an FTP server, record to a video buffer and/or SD/SDHC cards, and provide the ability to connect video analytics modules.
Configuring AXIS Q1910 via a web browser or AXIS software interfaces
Like other AXIS IP cameras, the thermal models connect to Ethernet and support all modern network protocols, including UPnP, DHCP, QoS, etc., as well as mechanisms for protecting audio and video data on the network. Access to their settings and video is possible both via a web browser and via the AXIS Camera Station software interfaces. However, AXIS Q1910 can also be controlled using third-party software, such as Milestone XProtect.
100% ready to go
The AXIS Q1910 indoor model, as well as the AXIS Q1910-E outdoor thermal camera in an IP66 metal housing, a germanium window that lets in thermal radiation, and a window heater, are ready to install. They support PoE, are powered via a DC/AC adapter, have the necessary security features, but are significantly cheaper than analog thermal imagers.
