ASCON and Trace Parts have integrated their solutions .
For the first time in the domestic CAD market, KOMPAS-3D users had the opportunity to work for free with the online resource Trace Parts, one of the world’s largest suppliers of catalogs of parts and assemblies.
The service allows you to import into KOMPAS-3D, developed by ASCON, more than 100 million three-dimensional parts and drawings that are used in mechanical engineering, aerospace, automotive and many other industries.

The TraceParts on-line service provides access to catalogs of various products related to various industries, as well as catalogs of standard products according to ISO, DIN, ANSI and other systems.
Access to the catalog for KOMPAS-3D users is free until August 2009, subject to registration.
Available file formats: KOMPAS, STEP, IGES, DWG, DXF.
TraceParts components can be inserted directly into an assembly as a KOMPAS-3D model.
This combination significantly increases the efficiency of developing new products due to the extensive content of catalogs and the quick search for necessary elements, reduces design time and, as a result, the cost of development.
The technology for working with the resource is simple: in the on-line catalog, the required element and model of a specific standard size are selected.
