Access control and management systems. Nuances
Access control and management systems (ACS) are an integral part of a modern security system today.
With their help, it is possible to conduct continuous monitoring of the safety of the object, track access to various premises, record not only the total number of people on the territory of the object, but also the location of each of them. This is the basis for modern timekeeping in many companies.
The cost of ACS varies depending on the engineering and technical solution of this system.
In relatively small and inexpensive systems, ACS construction is used, in which the database is loaded into one control controller.
Today, almost every commercial institution (from offices to educational buildings) has access control systems. The sale of these systems is provided with engineering and technical support. In addition, an important role is played by consulting services provided by companies installing security systems, whether it is a checkpoint inside a building or an electronic locking and sealing device ensuring the safety of cargo.
The client will be assisted in choosing the general concept of the system, types of readers (depending on the flow of people), the procedure for arming/disarming premises, making connections with fire alarm systems, etc.
In large corporations, airlines and transport companies, complex algorithms for the interaction of subsystems are set (from internal control of employee movements to control of the movement of vehicles in underground parking lots).
Innovative technologies allow not only to block the entry/exit system, but also to develop individual modifications of access systems. Touch memory keys are programmed taking into account the functional load: «access key», «security key», «universal key». This guarantees multi-level control and security, since, in addition to «reading» the key and granting or denying access, a protocol of events is maintained.
The same accounting and control capabilities are provided by the remote electronic pass рroximity. Translation — «proximity, neighborhood» — explains the principle of operation: after the pass approaches the reader, identification and access are granted. The readers are connected to the code panel (dkp 201 or dkp 201-TM) and allow you to record up to 254 identification codes in memory.
An electromechanical lock (price varies depending on the manufacturer and configuration) will also serve as an additional protection.
