A quiet friend is better than two noisy ones.
It is no secret that people are often immodest in their requests. They want everything at once. Therefore, they try to choose electronic friends for themselves that are trained in many things, and perform their functions with an “A plus”, and … do not interfere. So that they do not catch the eye, do not get underfoot, do not make noise. Hence the demand for silent dome video cameras, which Smartec is trying with all its might to satisfy.
The high-precision dome video camera STC-3905 is ideal for round-the-clock video surveillance in premises. A powerful 36x zoom lens allows you to obtain detailed images of distant objects. Automatic switching between day and night modes is realized due to a switchable IR filter. In day mode, its sensitivity is 1.4 lux, and in night mode 0.01 lux with a resolution of at least 480 TVL. But, most importantly, this video camera is equipped with a low-noise precision rotary mechanism that provides panning by 360 and tilt within 180 at a maximum speed of 350/s and a positioning accuracy of 0.024.
Silent operation, accuracy and durability
The STC-3905 rotary mechanism uses a high-precision stepper motor, which provides the video camera with a rotation accuracy of 0.024, silent operation and no vibrations. All parts are made of high-quality materials, which has become the key to the reliability and durability of the STC-3905. For example, the current collectors in the form of rings are designed for 20 million engine revolutions.
High-quality video day and night
The STC-3905 automatically switches from color to black-and-white mode by mechanically disabling the IR filter, which allows it to conduct video surveillance around the clock. In color mode, the STC-3905 has a sensitivity of 1.4 lux. When the illumination decreases, the IR filter shifts, the video camera switches to black-and-white surveillance mode, and its sensitivity increases to 0.01 lux. If you install additional IR illumination, you will be able to obtain informative video images at illumination below 0.01 lux, including in complete darkness.
To adjust the image quality depending on the video surveillance conditions, the STC-3905 has a number of functions, such as automatic and dynamic white balance (there is an option to select a profile for indoors or outdoors), backlight compensation, flicker compensation, and frame accumulation mode. The digital video image stabilization technology implemented in the video camera minimizes the impact of low-frequency vibrations and mechanical shocks from the external environment on image quality.
In low-light conditions, the video camera can use the frame accumulation algorithm, in which, due to an increase in exposure time, a more complete accumulation of charge on the elements of the CCD matrix occurs and good image quality is ensured.
Control of the video camera's pan/tilt device
The STC-3905 supports Pelco P, D telemetry protocols. It has a full set of functions and settings that allow it to perform video surveillance, patrolling and tracking of a moving object with maximum efficiency. The STC-3905 is equipped with a 36x zoom lens and, in addition, provides 12x digital zoom. It pans within 360o (circular rotation) and tilts by 180o (in AutoFlip mode). You can set up to 165 presets, program up to 8 learning routes with a total duration of 400 seconds and up to 8 tours, and mask up to 24 zones. The camera's panning speed when switching between presets can be up to 350o/s.To ensure that the image on the operator's monitor is correctly oriented even when the camera passes the lowest point of the tilt arc, the STC-3905 has an AutoFlip function. Upon reaching the lowest position, the camera automatically rotates in the panning plane by 180o, after which it continues to move along an ascending arc.
When working on a given trajectory at preset positions, the camera can change the panning and tilting speed proportionally to the zoom factor. Therefore, when approaching a wide-angle format, the speed of horizontal and vertical rotation of the camera increases. This prevents parts in the frame from moving too quickly when zooming in strongly.
In addition, the dome video camera has an autofocus function, which allows it to form a clear image both in the process of moving away from/approaching the object of video surveillance or when switching between presets, and when shifting the IR filter.
Reaction to alarm events
With 4 alarm inputs with configurable status (NO/NC) and 2 relay outputs, the dome camera can quickly respond to alarm events and control external devices. When an alarm signal is received from one of the external security sensors, the dome camera can transmit a signal to one of the relay outputs, switch to a specified preset, or perform an auto patrol tour.
Indoor and outdoor video surveillance
The STC-3905 is well suited for both indoor and outdoor video surveillance systems, and a wide range of accessories provides the installer with additional freedom in determining the location and method of mounting the dome camera. In the basic configuration, the dome video camera operates at temperatures from -10° to +50°C, and when installed in the STB-C103 casing (IP66), the permissible range of operating temperatures of this model can be expanded to values from -40 to +60C. Additional brackets and adapters provide the possibility of suspended ceiling and wall mounting, as well as flush and surface mounting on the ceiling or in a false ceiling and mounting on an external or internal corner.
